Been 2 weeks now. I think it's safe to say I'm Done with the stuff!

I don't even want it anymore.

My mouth feels great! Food tastes great again!

I really am a quitter!
I'll parse your comment from back to front. I'm very happy to read this, and we'd like to see you posting in June.

I really am a quitter!
I believe that is the attitude for success

My mouth feels great! Food tastes great again!
That is an awesome feeling. It is amazing how quickly the mouth heals.

I don't even want it anymore.
I am not suggesting this will happen to you, but do you have a plan or coping mechanism in the event that a nasty crave vists you?

Been 2 weeks now. I think it's safe to say I'm Done with the stuff!
That is my attitude - I am done with stuff. Although my quit is short at 23 days, I do know that I have 20 years of addiction to this stuff in my history. Like a drug junkie, all it takes is one "hit" tomorrow, a year from now, or even ten years from now, and I am back to being an active addict. I may be done with it, but I have a whole lot of mental untangling to do.

Having people who understand this devil and will hold your feet to the fire if need be is a nice tool to have.

Hey, Juner. I haven't seen you post roll yet, and I've tracked it. Your quit is awesome, but like these guys said. Great that you feel great, but at some point you're gonna need some back up and some accountability. Please come to June and post in roll call. You won't regret it.

No, it's not safe to safe to say you are done with it. You are an addict.

Don't get overconfident because a funk will hit (not may hit, but will hit) and you may not be prepared or have a plan and it's gonna smack you on the ass. You will crave again.

Enjoy what you are feeling now but realize that you will not feel like that everyday. Ask anybody in here who has 50+ days quit.

This is why we post roll. This is why we have quitters still posting roll every day 1/2/3 years after they quit.
mordecai is correct, picture-picture told him so and he also got a message from speedy delivery to the same effect. He blew up that fucking trolley though - messed with his cat one too many times.

I like your confidence but you need to be very, very cautious when making blanket, definitive statements. Sometime around 80 days, I was miserable. felt like I just began my quit. I posted about it and all of these vets started describing how they went through the same thing and then again around 120 days. By all measures you appear to be kicking ass on your quit. Just keep it in perspective. Post roll and do it every day because when you least expect it, the mother of all craves will hit and you will want to make certain you have every tool at your disposal to deal with it.

Stay Quit.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Congrats on going a week, that's a huge first step. as you can tell its 1am and I cant sleep right now. I'm working on day 3 and its all I can think about while getting ready for bed. Any suggestions on easy sleeping techniques during the first week or so?

Okay, it's only been a week, but I feel great!
Been chewing 1/2 tin a day of Copenhagen for 20 plus years. I've finally taken over.
About a week ago, I stopped at the gas station out of chew, and asked for the cheapest, nastiest chew they had. The girl behind the counter asked if I was quitting, and gave me some Smokey Mountain Chew(non-tobacco).
Figured I'd give it a try.
First day was rough(whole can of SMC). After that, not bad at all!
Smokey Mountain helped me decide that I didn't need the tobacco.
Outstanding decision. Committ to the quit and if you havn't already, start your accountability by posting roll in your group giving your word of honor not to use nicotine in any way shape or form, for today. Rinse and repeat tomorrow.

Check your (Inbox 1) upper right corner of your screen.

P.S. You should drop that girl (clerk) that gave you the SMC a gift card. Damn that was cool of her.
