CB, the advice that I have is to get your butt in here first thing every single day. Spend as much time as you can (we're all busy) reading everything you can. The more you can read and absorb, the more motivated you will be to bust nicotine's teeth out. Pick a group that started two or three years ago, start reading from post #1 and go until you can't stare at the screen any longer. It's interesting readying and you will see that you can do this thing. Thousands of quitters have done so using the tools proclaimed on this site. You will witness the development of those quitters and when you get to the end and see them posting 1,000+, it will give you that bump you need in a rough patch.

You can do this. Follow the methodology (post roll every day, keep your promise) and you are GUARANTEED to be successful.
"Fuck nicotine dude. You don't need it. And you don't want it. It didn't do a thing for you and you know it." - worktowin
"today you dissided that shit wont control your life. and it wont. unless you let it." - drome
"Not thinking about nicotine is for people who've never used nicotine. We threw that option away with the first dip or drag on a cigarette. We are addicts, and cannot become un-addicted." - wildirish317
"You need to decide how much you really want to be quit." - pky1520
We are always at risk. And probably always will be. That is why I will never get "too quit" to post my +1. Every. Damn. Day. - geis2597

Hey man, so thankful that you are here. This is THE place that can help equip you with the knowledge, techniques and accountability to beat your addiction. It will be a daily fight and one that you must recommit to every morning.

I will let some of the vets take it from here explaining some of the basics, dos and don'ts, etc..

I just wanted to tell you that this site will absolutely change your life if you let it.

Proud to quit with you today, dude.

Today is the day. I have dipped for 27 years non-stop. At least a can a day. I stopped drinking years ago and I can stop doing this. I want something else to be my focus throughout the day. Not, when am I going to take another dip. I am ashamed that I didn't do this sooner. I feel blessed to have found this group. It was the first click I made and the start of the rest of my life WITHOUT a crutch.
