Dude just find your balls and quit. No nicotine. Go through the fire. Your soul, body, and mind need to be free of nicotine. Only you can make that happen. Do it one day a time by pledging to us that you won't use nicotine. This is how it is done.
Waca,

You only ever tried to quit, thats why you always only failed.
Nicotine gum in between dips only kept you hooked on nicotine. It baffles me to see people be so naive to think that they can quit using nicotine with a gum or a patch that puts the fuckin shit directly in your body, just as a dip did. WAKE UP MAN.

And Waca, I hope The only reason you are in here isnt because you woke up with sores that wont go away. I call those kind of people "SCARE STOPPERS" which in that case, they join KTC, become nicotine free, just until the sores go away or there doctor tells them it isnt cancer. Then they go buy another can. Like an idiot

When you where saying some shit about dipping 20 hours a day for some blah blah blah crap......DUDE, YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL, WE ARE ALL ADDICTS HERE, there are people here that dipped less than you, and there are people who have dipped 3x as much as you. WAKE UP MAN

Now, for this crap about hoping, trying and praying ------FAILURE )......WAKE UP MAN. Where are your fucking nuts. We quit COLD TURKEY. No patches, no gums, no cigs, no babying.

Every person on this site has either gone through or is going through the withdrawals of quitting nicotine. Like i said, your story is not special, nor is it to far from every other persons story on this site.

You need to flush every goddamn can of chew, cigs, gum, burn the fucking patches, and QUIT LIKE FUCK.

If you need somebody to spell it out any clearer, send me a PM and ill give you my number. I can draw you a picture and mail it to you.

I'd like to thank y'all for having my back. I'd like to share my some of what's motivating me. My kids! I saw a picture of a guy that had mouth cancer and the poor fellows face was in bad shape. I thought to myself I don't want to put my kids in the position of explaining to there friends what happened to me or some other situation that could be embarrassing for them. The other is my faith. I want to honor my savior Jesus Christ.

Y'all got to forgive me cause I'm not very computer savvy and I'm still trying to find my way around the site.
You can do this. Forget the sores forget the guy with oral cancer. Quit because your tired of being a slave and have more respect for yourself than that.

Let me share why I say this; I dipped for 40+ years, had all the mouth sores, lost teeth, gum grafts, sat with my friend as he died with most of his face eaten away and still literally had Copenhagen in my mouth nearly 24-7 (slept with it, ate with it sometimes and never spit). 696 days ago I sat at the toilet and cried as I flushed my last 3 cans and mourned.

Today I again sat in the dentist chair and had a tooth pulled, what was different about this time? I didn't pack my mouth with dip as I left the office! My life no longer rotates around a damn can with a shiny metal lid.

You are SO close to reclaiming your life! Get rid of all the nicotine around you- chew, gum, patches, losenges, etc. Get it destroyed and gone. You ahve to jump in all the way- the nicotine replacements do not address the main problem - the addiction. I didn't learn that until i came across this site. Read about it in the welcome center, upper left of the web page here. Here's another link I share that helped me learn some more, originally shared with me by KTC quitter SpartonRon-- Nicotine Addiction 101

If you follow the program here, you can and will quit successfully. You get out of it what you put in to it here. If I can do it with this site, then you can too. I"m convinced that the only reason I could quit, after many years of trying, is because I jumped in with both feet here and gave it my all. Come join us, you can do it here!
Brett has summed this up in a single sentenceÂ…"you are so close to reclaiming your life"Â…reclamation starts once you have removed all the nicotine containing products from your possession. These are currently claiming your lifeÂ…and therefore must rid yourself of them to repo your life back.

Doesn't look like you have posted roll yet, so get your name on that roll and make a promise to yourself and all of us that you will not use nicotine today. Tomorrow, do the same thing. You'll soon find that you are no longer accountable only to yourself, but to thousands. And we're going to be pissed if you caveÂ….so don't. Tough love here, but from what I've found it stretches wide and runs deep.

Waca,

I am on day 14 so I know what you feel like. Post roll call 1st thing every morning because it gives you clarity on why you are quitting.

Get rid of the NIC..i did gum for 3 days WEAK.

Drink tons of water. Do push ups when you get the urge. Chew gum.

Do it ONE DAY AT A TIME.

This site has power so come here as often as you need to.

Well, I've tried quitting snuff more than I can remember but never successfully. I think I just really didn't want to. Last fall I started replacing a pinch with nicotine gum every so often. But did it really half ass. Last week I got a couple sores and for some reason it has gotten me worried. A few of the sores have gone away and a few have popped up. I read on webmd that see a doctor if they don't clear up in two weeks. So I'm watching them closely. But anyway, I've carried the snuff monkey on my back for maybe 23/24 yrs (God please don't let it be too late!). But I woke up yesterday 2/24/2014 morning and I said to myself "I wonder how long I can go without a pinch?" (Y'all honestly out a 24 hr day I had snuff in my mouth for 20 hrs of it! Well, I made it till about 2 pm and I had a pinch for about 20 minutes. Today I've been tobacco free all day! The patches seem to help and so does the herbal tobacco free snuff. I'd like a pinch but I WANT to be 100 days free of it. Y'all pray for me.
Hey Waca...
First of all welcome. You're in the right place. Second of all, this is a zero nicotine site so flush your dip stash, throw away the patches, pitch the nic gum out. Get rid of it all.

Go to the welcome center (salmon colored tab above) and read up on how to post roll. You will be part of the June '14 nic group. Posting Roll daily is the price of admission to this club. You will find hundreds of guys that have gone through exactly what you're going through now. I'm on Day 60 and never thought it could be done. Stick with the KTC program and it can be done my friend. I quit with you today.
