Day 18 of my quit here.  Name is Veggeh, Veg, Veggie...etc...or you can call me Josh.  I quit nicotine 18 days ago on my birthday.  Man it's been rough.  Not because I want a dip real bad.  Technically I guess I'm still dipping, but it's Hooch.  I'm on my 5th can of Hooch since quitting.  Back to what I was saying...lol...it's the side effects that's been rough.  See, right before I quit, I decided it was time to get healthy all the way around.  A month or a month and a half before quitting, I started P90X.  Then, I quit caffeine for a couple weeks.  That went so well, I decided to bag this monster (timberwolf long cut wintergreen).  Been going good...except I went back to caffeine.  Which isn't too bad, unless I drink it in the afternoon or evening.  Because my worst side effect....insomnia.  I wake after 3 hours sleep and just can't get anymore.  Then the crankiness comes into play and my wife wants to strangle me.  Speaking of which, I've been married to her for 11 years now, we have 3 beautiful kiddos (2 rambunctious boys, one princess, and one more boy on the way).  So I've got many reasons to want to quit.  Man...I don't think I've ever been so bad at making paragraphs!  It's good to be here!  So glad I found this site!
hay man i rote bout not bein able to sleep over to my intro. bugged my wife to. then we made a skedyule sos i cood get some actshun. and man that useually puts me rite to sleep. hay theres some nites ware i still pretend i cant sleep.
Lol, nice. Well...maybe to us.

It was a good night last night..other than sleeping through my alarm and being late for work. I got 8 hours. Man...that's good stuff right there.

Best choice of your life. Quitting that is.

PM me if ya got questions.

As for the sleep, your brain is re-wiring itself. take naps if you can, exercise before bed to tire yourself out.

And try not to take anything out on your kids or wife. If you feel that angry jump into the live chat and/or bitch it up in a post on here.

Welcome Vag! Congrats on taking your life back. The worst of the process is behind you and your dedication will determine your success from here on out. If there's no nic, you're quit. Use as much fake stuff as you need to. Take a look at the welcome center tab, post your promise in Dec. '12 and stick to it. Limiting your caffeine intake and exercise will help with the mood swings. I was going to mention the dangers of auto erotica but will let that stand, just quit for today and for you. Shout out if there's anything you need or you've got any questions, I'll pm my number. You got this.
