Thanks.  I am determined to make it this time.  Today, slightly better.  Cravings are down and the fact that my gums are sore makes me want one even less.  Havent even gone to the Hooch today yet.  I hear ya guys about the posting roll, but I don't need all the stress I see there.  Honestly, all that bickering and discipline of roll call makes me less likely to make it.  I think I will continue to succeed going the route I'm on.  No way I'm going back to the can this time.  Thanks again!
Could this be the optimal strategy for generating bickering and stress: post an introduction to say that posting roll could send you back to the can?

Roll call requires too much discipline, you say? Discipline makes it more likely your quit will fail? I don't think we'll be seeing that in Words of Wisdom anytime soon.

If you think you've got a better way to quit, congratulations. Post the news on facebook. Start a blog. But, it doesn't make sense to do that here, unless you're trying to stir up trouble. If you want to quit your own way, you should quit on your own.

Want to know the most effective way to fight off of crave? Put Tobasco sauce all over your nuts...and, just like magic, no more crave!

Okay..sorry. But seriously, there are no shortcuts to quitting. And that is sorta cool, I think. Everyone on this site has been through the same shit. Everyone has to struggle. No pills, no patches, no bullshit...just plain old quitting.

The good news is that you have everyone's support. We're with you, brother! And we'll get through this.

Just keep posting everyday and it WILL get better...Tobasco sauce on your nuts is optional.

Jschantz - Make sure to drink a ton of water as well, it will get better but it is all definitely normal, hang in there man.

Well, I am a dozen days in to my quit and I feel like I got the worst flu of my life. I'm tired, sore throat, over heated, chills. Hell, even my mouth hurts (though that might be the Cayenne pepper in the Hooch Snuff I've been using). Anyway, just need to vent and hope someone tells me this is normal! Boy, I hope it is.
Yep, what you're feeling is normal. It will slowly get better. Some days you'll have bad days and some are better. Just keep posting roll early each day. Roll is your promise to your quit brothers that you will not use today. Just take it 1 day at a time. Good job on the 12 days so far.

What you're feeling is normal. Everyone goes through their own special brand of physical symptoms of withdraw. Mine was primarily the mental fog, but I continue to battle days where my gums inexplicably hurt and I'm 157 days in... Keep your head up, each day gets easier and the physical symptoms you're experiencing will slowly go away. Stay close to the site, read some of the older quit groups pages from the beginning - that will give you a good idea of what others went through during their quits.

Congrats on the 12 days - I know double digits was a big step for me. Stay quit, if you need anything don't be afraid to ask. PM me if I can do anything to help.
