Wow. First, welcome. Second, great job making it 24 hours.

Tomorrow is a new day and a new fight. The first few days will suck more than imaginable. I spent a lot of that time trying to sleep (left work early when possible) to pass the time. As these guys have said, it takes about 72 hours for the Nic to get our of your blood. Drinking a pool of water and exercising to get the heart rate going will speed the process.

We'll talk about days 4 on day four. For now, focus on now. You're doing just fine!

I thank you all. At 950 I will post my 24 hour pat myself on the ass post. Wife is being supportive dog is wanting to pick up bumpers, daughter is asleep. Life is good folks. I want a dip.

If I were a specialist I would say normal, yes. But it is not hunger. Like I went through it is your mind telling you to have something in your mouth. Keep drinking the water and/or cranberry juice as it will help flush out the nicotene from your system. Try to exercise to get the heart rate up to also help get it out (will also keep you occupied).

Your body is fighting so it will go through stages of hunger (just make sure you feed it the right foods), stages of tiredness and/or insomnia. This is all normal and will be so worth it.

you can do this, just keep pushing forward and never look back.
