27 straight years of dipping and not one sore, bump, lesion in my mouth.  Quit for one month and I get a big sore in my left lower cheek.  WTF...Going to the dentist Monday.
Same thing here. Sore on inside of upper and lower lips, left side.

Got a dentist appt for next Friday to get a cleaning :D

Should be the first cleanning I've had in 20 years where I didn't immediately put a dip in after I left the office. Should be fun...
Dont freak. It is normal to have sores in your mouth. It is healing. Go to the welcome center and read the what to expect page.

Relax...
I've had this appointment for the last six months. I read everything to expect, but it still sucks to get that shit after your quit. Looking forward to going to my first nic free dental appt in 27 years. He dips so I'm going to encourage him to look at KTC.

Im thinking half of my own dip problem was just a flat out addictive personality haha Day 5 here and im freaking out just as bad that Im out of gum as i ever did when i ran out of dip
I'm the same way brother. If I like something I do it to death.
I'm 146 days into my Quit and still get edgy when I'm out of seeds or gum. But I just take a step back, laugh, and say to myself "lighten up assmunch!"
I think most of us are that way. Part of the problem in the first place. I know I am carfeful with booze, pills etc. I refuse to control my boobage problem though. I will look at them any chance I get.

Just relax and breathe. It does get better.
Abso-fuckin-lutely addictive personality could play into the mix. Maybe not for everyone, but for me for sure.

For example, if I know my wife bought ice cream and it's in the freezer, I can't stop fuckin thinking about it until its gone. If I wake up at 3am to take a piss I'll end up at the fridge. Changing my eating habits may have been harder than quitting dip, although the dip quit was harder to start.

You should try to see if you have addictive personality or not. Knowing that may help you in many areas of life.
Gosh, Mister, my teeth feel cleaner. But what about the hole in the wall?

Right there with you, golfer.  You'll meet your great grandkids some day, give 'em a hug for me!

Every store in town ALWAYS has Cope Long Cut/Medium Cut/Bourbon Flavoured.....what have you.....but I'd always panic when they were out of my regular Cope Snuff.

Why is it that once we have a favorite, NOTHING else will do?
If a store didn't have Skoal LC straight, I go ahead and get a Grizz Straight or Skoal wintergreen so I could pack one on the way to another store to get the real deal. Then I'd give those cans to the guys in the office that dipped that shit.
Skoal LCS was my favorite too. Couldn't stand any wintergreen shit. Weird thing is with the fake stuff and me, the only thing that seems to help is wintergreen. _ can't stand the other flavors.
Yep, Smky Mtn wintergreen is probably the best. I prefer the flavored Hooch as well. The mint Hooch is pretty strong and holds its flavor the longest. All the fake straight/classic flavors are just awful.

My advice on that is to buy like 10 cans of the fake stuff at a time. My old habbit was to buy 1 can of the Girz whenever I was running out so I therefore had a habit of stopping at the gas station every other day. If I buy 10 cans of the smokey mountain at a time I just destroyed my habit of having to stop to buy chew. One last thing to keep an old habit going.

I had to quit the fake stuff because I had to buy it from the same place as Copenhagen. I was thinking that if I was having a bad day or craving really bad and was low on the fake stuff how easy it would be to cave. So had to eliminate that too. That is just me but that was I felt I had to do.

How come Tobacco shops are the only places around me that sell the fake stuff? I have to walk into that store, smell the same tobacco smell, look on the same shelf right next to my former favorite brand of shit, and reach up and grab my new can of Smokey Mountain. Makes no sense to me. The good thing is I can walk into that store and complete ignore the old brand. I'm quit 33 days today, and staying that way!!!
