Ditto on that Goody. Still revisit the tale of that ol boy asking you if you're quit!
It's been a real treat to correspond with you via pm albeit sporadically. Don't know what we'd have done without you. Here's to the next hundred!

Be humble... grow everyday.

I fear I will always be chasing the vortex like a drug. None will be as special as my first hit.

Forty years on the Tin. Started 1977 only 20 cents for a tin of Cop. life was great. This is my first quit in 40 years. The first 15 days blew huge but getting better. Just had a full check up and blood work and happy to say I'm in great health. It's all about playing the cancer odds. To be truthful if there where no heath problems I would not quit. The wife found you on the comp. Glad she did.
Brother, I fear for your quit. If you don't learn to hate nicotine in all it's forms you are doomed to stop, but not quit. I have been here nearly 4 years, and I have seen my share of "health issue" stoppages and "dental issues" stoppage - once they get the ALL CLEAR that are dipping again.

Hate the slavery of the tin, the freedom is great!
WOW . Brother don't count me out just yet. I'm just getting started. I understand the concerns of nicotine addiction. I have lived it for 40 years. I understand the road I'm on and willing to stay the course. For no one else but myself. I plan to be on this planet a long time, and this is going to get me there.
Good for you deciding to quit! Proud to quit with you today.

It took me a while to really hate nicotine so I totally understand where you are coming from. Hell, you may never develop that deep hatred, but it does make the quit that much easier.

Keep being badass and quitting one day at a time!
This quit has to be about your desire to want to be done. We've all done the justification and reasoning and bargaining and lies. It doesn't work here. It's an old tired act of each and every addict. If you truly want to quit, you will. If it's just staying ahead of the cancer curve, your addict mind will justify its way back to nicotine. Time to shit or get off the pot. We will be here everyday, every minute if need be, to support your quit. Just make sure it's for all the right reasons in your own head.
Goody, congratulations on your quit. As you can tell, there is a lot of support and people just like you on KTC. And there is also tough love, that we all need because most of us have all failed numerous times before.
Stay quit and see you around KTC
I never counted you out, just saying you have some "quit speak" to learn. As long as your name is on the roll call, you are equal in quit as any of us.
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Shit isn't that every drug? If they made blow that was healthy and risk free of addiction. Fuckin sign me up! There's no if's involved with dip. There are health problems involved. If only's dont matter matter because all the hypotheticals in the world wont keep you from dying If you fail your quit. Only thing you have control of is to not use. If you fail, You don't have control of being on the right side of those cancer odds.

Hit me up if you ever feel like caving or wanna bullshit. Plus don't forget to join your group over in April. We got a pretty good crowd over there, we'll go through this shit together and if I start throwing out if's you better be right there kickin my ass into gear, just like I'll be there for you.
