My name is Josh, Im a fire fighter and I decided to quit 6 days ago. Dipped Cope, Skoal, and Grizzly wintergreen for 15yrs (at least 1 can a day). Im only 30 so I've been addicted half my life. Been having some GI problems lately and decided it was time to quit, im sure the dip and GI problems are related. Im gonna need lots of help, everyone I work with dips, the temptation is there all the time. Think my detox has officially started today, helluva headache and a bit shaky.
Josh welcome aboard. Great decision to quit. I have had pretty bad heartburn and acid relux the past 3-4 years. I quit 29 days ago, and have had great improvements with both. If you have not posted roll call yet, head to the November quit group and make your promise not to chew or use any nicotine for the day (see pink/salmon welcome center link on top for instructions).

I think there are a lot of fire fighters and EMT here. I am sure they will contact you and talk about their quits.

Proud to be quit with you, and just remember, you only have to quit one day at a time.
