Everyone's quit is different. My quit days will always be higher than my post days. My quit days are #1 for me.

That being the case, please check and fix your bumps. You bumped 3 dedicated quitters from our roll today, and they take their quits and posts equally seriously.

Day 42 - Good weekend, 80s and sunny Sat  Sun (Great for Northern IL this time of year), wife's birthday, softball practice outside for my girls,  some late winter / early spring lawn work. Typically I would have been chewing during my girls practices and working outside. I've been using Smokey Mountain Wintergreen to take care of any kind of craves or if I just want one. My wife actually says it makes my breath smell better. Feel pretty good with where I am at with my quit right now. I admit I still enjoy chewing (Smokey Mt.) and do not miss the Skoal.

This site has made me more aware of caves and I see they can happen to anyone. In my 42 days on this site I've seen guys cave after a couple days and I've seen guys cave after years. I've seen people come back, get their verbal spanking, and then a kinda tough love welcome back. Those are some of the stories that enhance the quit I'm trying to attain.

Day 42 - I quit for the rest of today!!!

Day 25 of my quit. Another long drive home with snow. No issues, no real craves lately. I got a good idea of what most of my triggers are. Some I have met and conquered that day, some I have not met yet. When I stop at stores now I see her in the rack and I give her one of these 'Finger' . I tried seeds  gum and a variety of fake stuff. I like the Smokey Mountain Wintergreen the best. If you use this you'll notice they keep it in the rack by her. Recently I went to get some Smokey and asked for a tin at the counter, The lady grabbed the 1st tin out of the Smokey Mountain box and gave it to me. I almost put it in my pocket with out looking. Turns out it was a tin of Longhorn Wintergreen. I gave it back to the lady. See, she's a sneaky bitch but I'll keep fighting her one day at a time. Like the last time, NO TEMPTATIONS THIS RIDE HOME!!!!!!

Keep fighting. One day at a time. Might want to think about skipping the beer for a bit. Solidify the early stages of being quit and not add any other obstacles.

If you don't want to go to slip, don't go to slippery places. Kind of fits given the weather as well.

Here's today's dilemma on day 4 of my quit and my plan: Snowstorm, hour and a half commute home will probably take 3 hours, will have to piss at the oasis, will walk past the chew rack, continue my commute. stop at Walmart (hope the one I go to has Smokey Mountain otherwise it's gonna be seeds), get home, clean driveway, have a beer, get back on KTC to see what's happening. No Temptation this ride home!!!!!

Got through my online meeting today with no issues but then the boss buys pizza for lunch. You know what goes good after pizza and a coke for lunch. I thought about it and read some post on KTC and made it through the rest of the day and the drive home. Now I'm waiting for my daughter to get dropped off at her school after basketball. Last week I did the same thing while chewing because there was no one around to bitch at me about it, tonight I'm doing this instead. I pledged to be clean today  I will stand by my pledge. She's tempting but FUCK OFF!!!!!
