Quote from: jday6591Today has been pretty good like every day but the first couple.Ã,  No cravings at all.Ã,  Only problem I am experiencing as of late is sleeping I had to take a nap earlier because I haven't been sleeping for shit the last 3 nights. Guess I will have to look in to some melatonin =[
Hey Jday.
Just realize you've been screwing up your mind for umpteen years. While it's fixing itself it doesn't do anything right,, including sleep. It's using every moment to fix itself. It's now getting the proper oxygen and repair that it has wanted for years.

There will be a point when you actually want more sleep than normal. I think that is when it wants to rest because of all the krap you just put it through.

Everything normal my friend,, Quit on and I'll keep quitting with you.
Ah no problem with the quit for me. I am usually a night owl anyways. Just rough not being able to sleep when I need to get to sleep for something going on.

I noticed that if I have nothing going on around 6 am I can fall asleep and sleep for a good bit and not wake up which is somewhat nice since I work 2nd shift now.
and cut back on caffine it works way better at keeping you awake without the nic bitch blocking its effects.
Quit date 11-20-12
Never again for any reason. I quit for today. Today I live.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

Quote from: jday6591Welp pretty good day once again.Ã,  Had one rough patch about an hour ago but sat down and just got my mind off of it through the forums.Ã,  Glad there are a lot of people out there talking about their craves and it makes me feel like I am being a baby about it.Ã,

So blessed to have all this support around.
Awesome!!!! Plain Awesome.
Thanks a lot means a lot. Start my new job tomorrow and I am going in with a clear mind. I don't know if the fog ever comes back but today has been amazing.

Sat back drank a few beers and didn't miss chewing at all. Overall amazing day.

One problem I have been having though is sleeping. I keep waking up about ever hour without the ability to fall back asleep for a couple of hours after waking. Has anyone experienced this and if so how long does it last and is there any fixes?
Yes same story for me. Day 25 and Still happening but getting better.
hey jday6591,
What you're experiencing is normal...waking up all night....a lot of quitters have success with melatonin. It comes in different doses...Walmart has it on the shelf, no prescrip necessary. google it and see if it may be for you.
The reason for your sleep pattern changed is because your Oxygen level is changing in your blood!!! You are now "not" depriving your blood of the oxygen it really needs. Nicotine robs the blood of oxygen. Your brain is re-wiring...this is a great thing.
Celebrate! you'll start to notice that you'll be able to think clearer, quicker, recall better and be happier.
Remember we are Addicts to the poison and we can never have another.
One is too many, one million is never enuff. 'Crazy'
One Day at a Time and Never Again For any Reason! 'bang head'
Cheers. :)
Keeping my jaw and tongue...I like them.
It's poison I tell ya, You wouldn't drink Liquid Drano, would ya?

Hope your craves are gone tomorrow. I find when I skip exercise (like too busy or lazy) they're back. Tomorrow, other than a small stint at work I'll devote self to exercise and chores getting ready for a cookout this weekend (i.e. cleaning). Stay busy thanks for your thread and carry on.

Quote from: ErussellJday, I see your bad ass posted roll today! You go man. Keep that promise to us now. Your in a shitty place we know. Hang in there it's a hell of a ride, but over before you know it. Don't cave! I quit with you man!
Today has been a good day. Had to go on a long car ride and didn't have my can and it didn't seem to bother me. I could actually pay more attention with what was going on than trying to grab my spitter and lose focus of my surroundings.

I have been having some cravings throughout the day nothing that I can not keep under control with a pinch of coffee grounds in my jaw (reminds me of fine cut) or just a couple seeds.

When I wouldn't chew for a while when I first started I would always get one hell of a head buzz that would make my legs feel all weird too. I was wondering if that would be a withdrawal symptom as well? Today I had that exact same feeling in my legs without nicotine.

Overall good day!!!

Quote from: jayd41One thing that you probably need to do is go watch the Sean Marsee story.Ã,  He only chewed for a few years and died from it, about a month or so after he graduated high school...
Woke up today read that story and damn am I glad I quit. I can't wait to be in the right state of mind. Nothing too bad happening today just feel like I can't focus on anything. I am guessing that is the infamous fog?
Oh the fog! Yes sounds like you are right in the middle of it. I had it so bad, I stared at my computer at work and tried to compose an email it was a losing battle.

Remember these feelings, they will come into play later on my quit friend. Minute by Minute, second by second or day by day, keep up your quit!
Yeah, but the funny thing is I took a nap and damn it is gone. I didn't expect it to be that easy to fix for a while. I saw someone post something about using teabags as a substitute in your mouth and it did work just a little rough on the taste. I already feel 100% better about reaching my quit in August.

Highlight of my day was not having shit smelled morning breathe for the first time in a long time!
I have also saw where people have used coffee grounds as a substitute. The fog can be rough but, just like KKLJINC said; remember the way it feels so you will know that you never want to go through it again.
