R Mittens, I'm a little concerned about your roll posts the last few days - you seem to keep posting a day "16". I think that watching my day count grow helped strengthen my quit. I know this place is ODAAT but I think milestones are important too. You might want to start keeping better track of your quit day.

Keep on rocking your quit Rubber. I know it sounds stupid but you will be amazed how much better you will feel even just a few more days from now. Embrace this time and burn it into your memory cells. That way you can tell yourself "I never want to go through this foggy SUCK again."

A filthy nasty habit is picking your nose. We share an addiction that will kill us if we don't quit every day. Jake's won't kill you.
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

RM, I bought 10 cans of fake when I first quit just to be prepared. I only used it once during a really bad day in the 80's right before I hit the Hall of Fame. The point is to fill up your toolbox with as many tools as you can to stay quit. Phone Numbers , friends, atomic fireballs, fake dip, seeds, exercise, and a lot of reading here, and of course posting roll everyday. You got this.

I did, and I eventually stopped, it was fairly natural.

You are new to your quit as you only have 22 posts. Use the tools you have and keep them close. A lot of people use the fake to get through the fog and the suck of quitting. It is not fun as after the first 3 days it is all mental dependence on dip. Just use it and eventually you will wean yourself off the fake. I was very much the same way but after awhile I quit craving the fake as well. The reason you lose your drive toward the fake is no nicotine is involved to keep you addicted. Remember nicotine is the enemy not the habit of having something between your lip and gum.

The lack of responses to your intro may tell you that, you might have taken the wrong approach in this section. Read some others and see if you can be inspired to try again.

So, It appears that I am now addicted to Jakes spearmint Chew, When I wake I want after I eat I want, While I work I want......I just feel that need to have something in my lip Hopefully that subsides. The good thing is, I don't miss the Nicotine, Not at all, In retrospect, it was a filthy nasty habit, that eventually began to consume me

Close. Two things to pay attention to:

1. CUT (Ctrl X) not COPY (CTRL C)

this empties the lower input box (the "quote box" that is filled when you select "quote" to post roll) you get a cleaner post this way.

2. post your moniker and days with the "new bad ass quitters" -- you will scroll up in the input box to find this part. The very bottom of the box will be "support"


Quit on, this too gets easier.
