Hello everyone, my name is Logan. I'm new to the site, but just like everyone else I'm here with a purpose. I started using smokeless tobacco when i was 16 years old. Since then, I have been going through a average of a can a day. But I want to change that. I have a wife, and a son whose life I wanna be involved in as long as possible, and by continuing down the road im on with dipping im taking a risk of not being there for them. So i have set a date, 2/3/16, in which i will kick the can. I need help from all the veterans here. How did you guys do it? What methods did you use? What can I do to stay on the straight and narrow? Can you feel a difference since you've quit?
Where did you go?

You want to be around for the wife and kiddo?

Come on back brother. We are here for you.
That "setting a date" shit doesn't work. You have to want this bad enough to just quit NOW. Hope to see you on roll today.
Hello today is the 3rd or maybe you changed it to the 5th?
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Hello Logan! I'm celebrating 400 days of freedom today. I feel awesome. I dipped 38 years and have no idea how many times I set a date. Gonna tell you just like I was told. If you want this you stop now, this second, that's right you grab your sac, man up and do it Now! The 3rd will become the 5th before you know it 5 year's from now if you are still around you'll be looking up ktc to try again. What I'm saying is if you wanna do this there's no weaning yourself because I promise you tomorrow or next week is no easier than right now! So, go to the welcome center, learn how to post roll, you will be in may 16, that gives your word you quit for 24 hours. That's how we do it here. We promise one day at a time. You say alot of things , talks cheap so now's time to walk the walk! I'll be waiting and you will get all the help you need when you post roll!
As an addict... tomorrow always breeds another tomorrow. Always.

Now.

How do know that between rght now and the 3rd... you aren't going to take that one dip that turns those healthy skin cells into cancerous ones? Are you willing to risk yet another round of roulette?

Now...
Veteran help? Stop dipping right now, and dump every can, post roll. Once that is done we can give advice, but right now you aren't nicotine free.
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Hey, plans get delayed. Quit is now. Today.

Quit is simple, flush the contents of your cans and use no nicotine. But nicotine is an addiction so quit is very hard. We post roll with our quit group (fellow quitters at the same stage of fighting addiction) everyday when we wake up. A promise to use no nicotine for 24 hours is something any of us can achieve. We exchange phone numbers, a timely text can save a quit when the craves hit. This method works.

Can I feel the difference? Yes, it is better than I imagined. Plus it shows up as better visits to the dentist and better lab reports for cholesterol etc at the doctors.

Don't wait for a plan. You signed on for a reason, flush and free yourself from this weed.
