Garrett,

As CavMan said why not today? If you have one foot in the past and one in the future your just pissing away today bro. As BAQ (bad ass quitter) Bean has told many "Embrace the suck, its your body healing" and it is going to suck but your life is worth it. Get involved and read as much as you can on this site. Proud to be quit with you brother.
Don't wait my friend! Next dip may be fatal , wow something to think about. Not trying to scare just shooting facts! Post roll we're all waiting for you! Next moves your's! I quit with you today!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

I wish I would have quit a week early myself. Then today would be easier to get through. Quit now not later, flush it down and hold on. Its well worth the pain in the long run. At least you will have a jaw, or tongue. Come join me brother I'm only a couple days ahead.

Garrett,

Why 30 May? Why not NOW? Flush it, man up, and prepare for some miserable days ahead (not going to lie, it AIN'T easy). Post up your promise in September 15 and get on with being nicotine free. You can do this (hell, if I can do it, I figure anyone can). Lets go, bubba.... no time like the present. And if the "time has finally come", that's not 30 May....that's TODAY. right now!!

Awesome! You'll be an asset to September I'm sure. Just remember:

It doesn't take luck to quit.

We're all addicts here.

Wake Roll Repeat Every single day.

Glad you're here!

Welcome.

You don't need luck. Luck is for pussies.

You don't need Hope. Hope is for Chairman O and his ilk.

What you do need is KTC, because let's face it....you are a failure on your own. We all were.

What you need to do is follow that Welcome Center link. Go read why we post Roll Call. Read it again. Make sure you understand our process.

Make sure you have a good grip on your hairy, wrinkly old fart sack of yours.

Then, head over to Quit Groups and post that badass Day 1 in September 2015 group (you'll hit 100 days in September).

Roll Call. Roll Call. Roll Call. Do this as often as you think of helmeted midgets shot from a canon which will be every morning. No exceptions. Take 2 minutes to make that promise to this group of addicts. Then, let them save you from yourself.

We know you can't do this alone. You are here for a reason. We have the answers. We've been where you are. You sir, are not alone anymore.

Pull up a chair and get comfy, this is a process that will take time. Don't buck the system because it works. You just post Roll Call then put your fucking head down and concentrate on the next small step you take. It will be damned hard. But, we are living proof it can be done.

Definition of ACCOUNTABILITY
: the quality or state of being accountable; especially : an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions public officials lacking accountability

You will be accountable to this board...or you will surely fail. Time to nut up cupcake.

Congrats on the decision. And again, welcome.

The time has finally come
« on: May 28, 2015, 04:47:00 AM »
Hello, my name is Garrett. I have been a dipper for 8-9 years now, bout a can every two days, give or take. I'm approaching 31 now and I am going to be off the grizz when my birthday arrives this year.. My jaw is getting to sore and my gums too thin to keep at it. I have tried to quit many times, used nic gum, seeds, jerky, fake dip, e cigs with 24 mg juice... I've tried it all. None of it works. Everytime I find some excuse to run to the liquor store and get a new can. I only have one option left, cold turkey. My quit day is May 30th. Wish me luck brothers, I'm in the September 15th class....
