Days of our Quit – Episode 4 “Rocket Science Meets Common Sense”

Days of our Quit returns with an all new shocking episode. We will focus on some new people that would like to be part of the quitters and their vast arrays of quit. We briefly recap some things that have occurred up to this point.

We recall the death we had amongst the group. For those viewers that couldnÂ’t follow along or think for themselves, along the bottom of the screen we ran a title that explained that we put our quits in the casket to bury forever. The funeral was also an insight to one of a man that apparently couldnÂ’t handle being quit anymore. Apparently the healthier body, longer life, saving money and overall improvement in health was too much for him. He gave in, and evidently died to all of us. No more posting roll, no more worth caring about to the eyes of the quitters.

We also recall the interesting life of a few others, like Gmann and Gator. These two “G’s” are interesting in their own right. Gator, 30’s loyal and somewhat metro assistant, spends most of his time making sure all is well in 30’s world. He continues to bring him a cold beverage and massages his feet. Gmann has his own issues with homosexuality. He still calls the others gay, when he himself has a nice collection of Dolce purses and red heels. These two characters are still quitters, just interesting in their own right.

We now explore some of the newer people to the site. The quitters, who are now well into the 50’s, 60’s and 70th days of their quit, are still going strong. They now feel confident, reassured and overwhelmingly awesome. The first new character we get to meet is the planner. These Noobs are interesting. It seems everything in their life has to be planned. Every meal, every poop, every glass of water, taking a piss, cutting the yard, picking his nose and then of course quitting the earth dirt. These planners also believe in a magical day. This magical day is obviously amazing and brings forth all types of self reassurance and support. “On _____ day I will quit destroying my face.” The problem is your brain does not work this way, but they feel they are bigger than this. Knowing the inhaling gasoline everyday will kill me, but a few more days won’t hurt. I’m just going to keep going through with this nasty, deathly and overall gross habit just a few more days until the magic day appears. In the background of this scene is a tv playing news highlights from the Heavens Gate cult, who also had a magical day.

The next Noob that gets brought to light is the tryers. These people expect success without going in with a full head of steam. It is very similar to the waders of the pool; it’s not really swimming if you sit on the edge of the pool with your feet in. The tryers are depicted as Eyeore like survivors. They have quit using the earth dirt, but really have their doubts. They have quit, but think that they will not be able to quit for good, just for a period of time. We all explain to them that they have to buy in, but all we hear is that they will do their best. We are reminded by a video in the back playing the movie, “The Rock.” In this movie we have a great quote to sum up these tryers. Sean Connery says to Cage, when Cage says he could do his best, “Your best? Losers always whine about their best. Champs go home and f*** the prom queen.” These people are not champs yet but have the ability to change their ways. (The orignal qoute uses the Win word but everytime i type it in, we get Winner. Thanks loot.)

Then we have the BAÂ’s. These guys are not bachelors of art but merely Bad Asses. These guys have taken a can of the earth dirt, dumped the remaining contents in the toilet, flushed the nasty brown down, took the can, drove to the incinerator from Rudy, threw it in and smiled. This person then heads to the gas station for a Diet Coke and Funyons. When asked from the guy behind the counter if he would like any tobacco products, he punches the dude in the face, knocks him out, rips his shirt off like the hulk and leaves. These people are to be looked up too. They have bought it from the beginning. They believe in the quit. They believe in righteous honest living. They truly are BAÂ’s. A cameo of Chuck Norris here would complete the scene. Chuck comes in to the bar, looks at the BA and shakes his hand, then drinks a glass of milk, kisses a random November Hooters calendar model and leaves. We all need to be the BAÂ’s.

We go back to the bar after the new people have been introduced to the group, and we meet the most interesting man in the room, the multi changing man. This guy is amazing, he can quit, come back, quit, come back, quit comeback and encompass almost a dozen months and almost as many usernames. This guys balls have been left somewhere, possibly in a ballpark. But when everyone gets fooled, it all goes back on him. It really is not his fault, he just couldnÂ’t deal with life and itÂ’s complexities. We do live such a tough life. We must fight for every meal, personally make items to barter or sell for clothing, food and goods and work 90-110 hours in sweat shops to make ends meat. Or did we? Maybe not, but the other quitters really do not care.

Scotty gets up to announce to multiple groups that he is back, really quit and ready to be a leader. The others, who don’t care, look at him with a look of disgust. You cannot walk into a group of BA quitters and explain that you caved, multiple times, while giving your word and expect our sympathy. One man, a resident BA, walks up to Scotty, punches him clean in the left nut, spits at him and says “good luck.” We don’t play with this half ass quitting nonsense. You either quit, or GTFO. Scotty just doesn’t know.

To conclude our episode, LeeRon stands on a table and gives this speech. “Our lives are this simple. Post roll, live up to it, and quit for today. Repeat the process everyday. Good to go. If this seems like rocket science, maybe you should study a little harder about the process. This is common sense. Just quit.”

The episode ends with the group, toasting and cheering. The tryers are crying, the planners are thinking about a great day to be like Leeron while the BAÂ’s, like PMac break bottles over the head, flick of tobacco and quit, together. Everyday. We Quit.

It is absolutely amazing how much control this stuff had on us, and most of us are still fighting it. Think back to other things in your life.

1. Quitting sodas right now might give you a headache for a day or 2, but you would not have crazy hallucinogenic dreams about a soda can talking to you while you float down the Dr Pepper river. That just doesnÂ’t happen.

2. If you quit eating candy bars right now, you wouldn't miss it. In fact, you would have more energy, sleep better, and most things in your life would become better as you became healthier. You wouldn't lose sleep, wake up in a pool of sweat or feel like a zombie all day.

3. If you ever decided to quit using a cell phone, you could function. You may have to relearn your way of life, and you may be inconvenienced, feel lost or possibly have that naked feeling, but you wouldnÂ’t go into deep thought when you go to the gas station and see someone else using one. You wouldnÂ’t want to slap it out of their hands or even borrow the other guyÂ’s phone for 30 minutes.

It truly is amazing how much control this nicotine substance has on your body and your mind. It is truly amazing that it is legal when we know how addictive and how detrimental to your health the substance is. I am glad I quit. I am proud of the new life I have without it and my desire to be a better man, father and husband to my family. Now it is my turn to be amazing.

Exciting, but as with most Hollywood dramatizations... wrong names, wrong circumstances... just not how it really happened.

But, a total attention draw no less.

Oh yes, lets read more.

When is the next episode scheduled for release?

I am hooked.
Wrong names and circumstances? You sure? Next one should be in a few days, once I build up some more material. I love doing these.
Hey sorry... I was still wrapped up in the TF fiasco when I wrote that, I have been messing with that shit for 3 weeks.

Drive on... this is good shit.

We should have no problem getting you material. March 2012 is like a think tank for writing this stuff.
Tomorrow marks the 9 year anniversary of you being gone. I can't believe all that has happened since you have been gone, 3 of the 4 have graduated high school, 2 of the 4 graduated college, 1 had a baby, we all have jobs, we all got our licenses. I honestly never thought I would make it this far. I so wish that you could be here with me, Alexa, Connor, and Tori. Seeing all of the things we have accomlished...and everything that we still have yet to accomplish. Graduating high school, moving in at college, graduating college, having kids, buying a house, baseball games, first jobs, first girlfriends/boyfriends. I know that you are proud of each and everyone of us, but I/we need to hear it from you. We want you to be here to tell us "Nice pitch", "Congratulations on graduating", "Have I told you I loved you yet today?" (which Kenra and I try to do everyday now :)) It is sometimes just hard to get through the day. And to think...all this over a stupid dip...who would have thought?

Days of our Quit – Episode 3 “Resurdeathication”
After a long hiatus, Days of our Quit returns with a whole new episode with some amazing twists. This episode contains an identity crisis, false declarations and a member seeking a sex change. This will be a turning point for the life of many of the brothers but in turn, it all is just another day through the glorious challenge of giving up. As sand through the hour glass, so are the days of our quit.

We open this week at a funeral. The brothers are all in their dark attire, heads hanging, sadness all around and a casket in the foreground. We do now know who is in this casket, but we assume from the beginning it is one of the brothers. Most of the group seems in shock, in disbelief and visibly upset. We will soon find out what happened, who is in the tomb and what the group will do now. As the screen fades to white, we go back a few days earlier.

A happy moment is occurring with the brotherhood. They have gathered together at the local bar, “Chat Room” to see what has been going on. It isn’t that this group has a drinking problem, more of a quitting problem that needs the attention of the other members. At this bar again are the regulars, or vets as they are known, and some newbs. These newbs have not quite reached the revered “100 Day Mark of the Beast” but are working towards it. In the corner is Gator, assuring 30 that his cowboy attire and ass-less chaps are not too tight and really does favor his backside. Here we will get to meet a new character, Gmann.

This new guy, Gmann, is an interesting “man.” We can tell from the way he talks to the other members that he has an inferiority complex and is scared of small cats. He is dressed in his normal attire of a woman’s blouse and skinny jeans. The other members seem to respect him as a vet, but do realize that there is something not right with this one. He continuously belittles the other members every comments as “gay” or “faggish.” The problem here is that he will turn normal, non-gay comments into a homophobic nightmare. Another member Tex exclaims that he Gmann should settle down. Gmann in turns shouts in a much higher pitch “Maybe you should stop settling down in my ass.” This in turn causes the group to awkwardly shake their heads, and ignore the poor guy. Gmann scene ends with him walking into a clinic. We can only assume that he will be getting the sex change he has always desired.

At this moment a woman walks into the bar. She is taller, has some stubble on her legs and cleavage and a small atoms apple. The group doesnÂ’t judge because they are all misfits too. She asks to have the attention of the group, in which the group agrees. She stands on a chair and begins explaining the tragic death of one of our own, TexasFireman93, her brother. Gator scoots 30Â’s chair closer so he can hear, as his hearing aide batteries have begun to diminish.

The group is in disarray. How could one of our own die? The sister explains that her brother had stayed quit even up until dying. The group thanks the ugly woman and begins to set up charities, donations, sympathy statements are thrown out and love is spread. You see that at the moment that is considered to be one of the lowest, the group takes the high road and tries to do everything in its power to help the situation. Then one of the other vets Bradley begins to ask the ugly woman some detailed questions. We slowly figure out that this accident overseas never occurred. TexasFireman93 is not who he says he is. He claimed in the beginning that he was a man, a tough man at that but we find out that he is really his cross dressing ugly sister! When his cover is up, he leaps off the table and his balls drop off his body to the floor. His transformation is complete and his man-ness is removed.

We close the episode where we began, the funeral. We know that TexasFireman is not dead but we wonder who is in the casket. As the camera pans across the group, we notice that the casket is empty. The group was having their own funeral for something more important than the side show that had been occurring recently, they were ending their addiction. Through the acts that had occurred earlier and the shadiness of the members, the remaining members decided to make their quit even stronger and official. This group has become even closer and nothing seems that it will tear it apart.

The next episode will feature more stories about the vets and their role with the group. Will the group continue to get strong or will we see more newbs loss their testicles in an effort to join the dark side of earth dirt. Tune in next time for another riveting episode of Days of our Quit.

Days of our Quit – Episode 2 “Mom, help that crazy man”
/span

This episode begins with a glorious bar room scene in which all the quitters are scattered amongst various tables. Most groups consist of a few vest and newbs intertwined having in depth conversations about quitting and what the earth dirt has done to them. At one special table is the infamous “30”, the man that is feared and reveared by all quitters. He seems to carry with him a small posse that rub his feet, comb his hair, rub his back and also keep him happy at all costs. This posse leader Gator, is making sure 30’s glass is never half empty but at a minimum, half full. We learn more about each of the quitters and about their struggles with the earth dirt.

Out of nowhere, a “man” comes forth from the shadows of the dark cornered bar. This man seems tough and grabs one of the chairs, stands upon it and gets ready to let everyone have it. He lays his purse down on the nearest table, makes sure his stilettos are secure and begins to verbally bash each person in the bar, calling them fags amongst many other names. The group revolts, kicks his chair out from under him and lets the wisdom of 30 destroy his weak mind. The man leaves with his tail tucked between his legs. The group settles back in and discusses the douche bagginess of the guy.

Meanwhile, a few guys mourn over the loss of one of their own. Actually, it was the cross dresser we met in episode one. Due to contract negotiation going south, and the inability to pay someone with two characters, his character(s) were killed off. Actually tarred and feathered at the center of the city, lit on fire by all the members of the group and thrown into a barrel and into the lake. Sad day for the group, but he goes unnoticed for generally most of the show.

The group is getting stronger y the day. We see that when someone forgets to post the infamous roll, the group goes crazy and lets the non-poster know with choice words. Many people are getting their post bumped due to tardiness and we see how close the group is by the ensuing revolt. People are touchy these days and when in doubt, the group settles with the “gay” word for those they don’t like.

The episode concludes with a meeting of a new guy. This guy is an obvious winner, and talker. He uses lots of his speeches with rants and tirades. One of the quitters begs for forgiveness after falling of the wagon. We can’t tell is this rant is one of the past or present but should make more sense as the days go by. We sense that it is directed toward the “man” from earlier in the bar. Nevertheless, we see the group is in full crazy rage stage and ready to go for blood at the slightest of incidents.

In the next episode, we dive deeper into the mysterious “30” and his life quitting the earth dirt. As he nears 1 year, we all watch and listen for the great words of encouragement and guidance. Will someone else cause the group to riot? Will someone screw up roll? Will the “man” from the bar return and bring his balls? Find out in the next episode of Days of our Quit.

Days of our Quit – Episode 1 “Pilot”

As we have completed our honorable task of gaining members, characters become established. We have our various sorts of quitters in this group, some gung hoe and still burning bright, others are fizzling slowly but we have our intents on correcting them. As we start of our adventure into the 100 day journey of quitting, we are ready, we are dramatic, but all know that we are nothing but addicts fighting for our way out. Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our quit.

We open our story in a dense fog, surrounded by people we donÂ’t know but feel all to attached to their amazing stories. Some have been throwing 2 or 3 cans of earth dirt in their mouth daily while others have been hiding their habits from friends and loved ones. We all feel for these characters but in reality we know that we have a challenge ahead. Something far greater than we can possibly fathom. The fog fades to show a group of addicts, at a roll call.

Roll call is the groups sacred promise to each other that they will not use the evil earth dirt and stay clean for just one day. This day started as any normal day, until one member calls out everyone’s sexuality. Nocope declares the group as faggots. This causes the group to gasp, and for everyone to point out the clear question “really? So our quit makes us gay? Or are we talking about being ghey, because apparently that one seems to be quite different. “

Then comes the cross dressing members of the group. These “two” people are actually one, but that doesn’t get revealed until later. Bayroller comes out and posts his roll as a true champ. Problem with that is he is also another member from another planet! He was part of the quit group planet, “Augustus.” This legendary planet is part of the cavererous galaxy. Seems as though making a new identity for yourself and joining a new group allows you to cave for months. We will find this is unacceptable to the group, but nevertheless, his identity is reveled at the end of the show.

The opening episode closes with a look into each mans life, just as it has started. The camera scrolls down the line to reveal a blank spot, one left for the infamous cd. CD is a walking legend, having quit the earth dirt over 2 years ago. However, today, he fell. He has caved causing the entire group to question their own quit. The group is in disarray, but most feel they have the willpower and support to make it permanent. They promise to not be “that guy,” which has now been changed to the term “Being a scratched CD.” No more scratches, no more caves, all will quit.

The next episode teaser will show a legend, someone who is filled with great wisdom and a wealth of knowledge. We will get to know “30” and find out who has been kissing his ass everyday in this march group. And will we meet the yoda of all quitters, the man who has a sick syndrome for teaching about the quit? Find out in the next episode of Days of our Quit.
