The best advice, and the way to get the most consistent support is to join the March '18 Quit Group, and post roll early every morning.
That will open the flood gates of support. In fact, posting roll is the cost of admission to this otherwise free site.
Think of posting roll as your solemn promise to this entire KTC community that you will not use any form of nicotine for 24 hours. By posting roll, you also accept the responsibility of holding members of your quit group accountable. You hold them accountable, they hold you accountable. Keep your word, and make your promise again tomorrow.
It really is that simple. It's as hard as hell, but it's simple.
There's some good news - after 72 hours, the nicotine is flushed out of your system. Help that process by drinking lots of water. But, after the nicotine is flushed out, the physical withdrawals are over. It's a mind game after that. Again, lean on your promise, and your brothers in quit. Exchange digits. If you are facing a really tough crave, text someone. I have another bit of good news. A crave lasts about four minutes. Those four minutes seem like an eternity when it's happening, but it's still just four minutes. Don't you think you can withstand about anything for four minutes?
So ... learn how to post roll. Get to know the guys in your group. Let the ritual of posting roll replace the ritual of putting in your first dip of the day. Reach out when you need help. Read everything on this forum that your schedule will allow. Keep your mind busy, and off of dip. Avoid going into gas stations for a while - use pay at the pump. Come back to this intro thread every once in a while, and update us as to how things are going.
Above all - stay quit and refuse to cave.
