Great choice Jim. Any time you're craving or feeling like shit, come onto this site and read and/or reach out to us. If you post and get involved you stand a good chance of overcoming nic bitch's tight-ass stanglehold. For years I couldn't make it more than a day without chewing and now I'm on day 45 because of this site and its members. Just focus on one day at a time.

Congrats on the decision to quit Jim. But you gotta do this for YOU. You can't put the decision off on your wife or kids or anyone else for that matter, that will only lead to pointing the finger at them when times get tough. You have to want it and own it. I'll quit with you, check your inbox, I left my digits, don't be scared to reach out when you need to.
Great job posting roll ... Take this advice strongly ^^^^^^^^
Why are you quiting for yourself? It needs to be your quit. Not a family quit.
I quit with you today.
I believe.....

Wise choice, and glad to see you on roll. Please learn you and I are addicts - this is not a habit, it is an addiction.

Hello all. My name is Jim. I'm 31 and I have been hooked on dip for six or seven years. I am married and have two kids. I love my family to death, and the only thing in the world I wouldn't do for them was quit dip. That changes today.

I hate that I have become so controlled by dip. It seems like every decision I make is getting a dip or figuring out how I am going to get away to have one. I count the hours in my day by counting the amount of dips I have had or how long since I last had one. I hide it from my family so they don't think less of me. I make up excuses to go to the store, or on a drive or whatever, just so I can have a dip. My family has suffered enough. They don't deserve this. They deserve somebody that wants to be there for them, spend time with them, rather than some dumbass that ditches them to hit the can.

Thank you guys so much for this site. I have tried so many times to quit on my own only to give in after a couple days. I wish I could say I learned from those mistakes, but I don't even know what those lessons would be.

I am here to kick this habit once and for all. I want to be a better husband, better father, and better man. No more dip.
Hey Jim jump in here with both feet! Need to get posted on Roll! Realize you have to do this for yourself. You're an addict just like the rest of us here! Post roll and get you some numbers, read and take these guy's and gals advice on here.
You won't believe how much better every facet of life will be. No pain, no gain. It is a fight. It fucking sucks at first. The rewards cannot even be described.
