this is a pretty tough video to watch and it is long but it is super helpful and adds some perspective. please take some time to watch at least some of it. it has definitely fueled my quit today.

i also learned that Gruen Von Behrens the speaker in this video recently lost his battle with cancer. keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers as we all continue to battle what has killed this man.

So I'm on day 42 right now and I would say its been about a week since I've used any of my fake chew. I have almost 3 cans of Smokey Mountain and a half can of BaccOff. I just have not had the desire whatsoever to put it in my mouth. Even when I crave I don't feel like dealing with the shit. I guess they will still be helpful to have around if I ever get into a bind where I really feel like I need to use it. But for the most part lately I just don't even think about it.
6 weeks. Mighty fine.
Not saying that this is how it will always be. I realize that this could very well be a phase. But if I can deal with everythong without it then I for sure will.
Hey Jaker, I bought 12 cans when I quit. 11 and 7/8 of them are still stashed in my desk, my golf bag, my fishing vest, my range bag ect.... The 1/8 can that is gone from the can in my desk SAVED MY ASS from caving around day 80. Use all your tools. Good job.
Nice post rdad.

Had a dream last night that I caved. But instead of dipping I smoked a cigarrette. It was odd because I have only smoked a handful of times in my life because I can't stand smoking the least bit. Anyway, I woke up so mad that I had caved and actually for a minute believed I did.

Even though I didn't cave and thank goodness I'm going strong on day 15, I wanted to apologize to everyone for dream jaker being a total dumbass.
Can dream Jaker shovel my deck?

Dip dreams are highly realistic, and can make you feel guilty.......and then relieved once you wake up and know you are a Bad Ass Quitter! 15 days is awesome!
For me the cave dreams serve as a reminder. I let them deliver their message. The message can be interpreted incorrectly by weak and uneducated quitters (aka stoppers). Many times the message that weak stoppers perceive from the dreams simply serves to justify their failure. But you are strong and educated now that you are with us here at KTC. The message of the cave dream for a BAKTCQ is this: DON'T FUCKING CAVE!!! IT'S NOT AN OPTION!!! HONOR YOUR WORD AND YOUR BROTHERS!!! STAY QUIT!!!

I know you are a quitter because I see roll call and you count the hours quit, I like that! Get some digits of fellow quitters and read as much as you can here, this site will save your life. Quit now, and not in your 40's like I did.

Good start there, jaker, drink water. Couple of guys named Jake in Jan 15 you might have something in common with - pretty sure no one else on KTC ever lied about dipping though, what the hell??

Correct, no gum, patches, etc. Thinking about going to get some Smokey Mountain herbal stuff today though.
Excellent! I am a fan of the fake stuff. I used Hooch Spitfire for the first couple hundred days, along with seeds, toothpicks, etc. Here is a link with some information on other brands, where to buy, etc.

Welcome aboard Jake. Dont' be afraid to shout out if you need help or have questions.

Hello everyone, I am a recent college grad and former college baseball player. I guess I can also add "quitter" to that list with pride. I have been quit for 173 hours, or a few hours over 7 days. This past week has definitely been a struggle, but one that has been worth it. I have tried to quit before but had no success and this is the longest I have ever been without dip since I picked the shit up. I am determined to make this one go the distance because I am tired of lying to friends, family, and most importantly myself about this disgusting addiction. I am glad to be here and really think this website is what is going to fuel me to continue to stay quit. Let's do this.
Welcome Jake. You have a number of things in your favor. First, you're young. I wish I had the balls to Quit when I was in my 20's. Second, you've been nicotine free (right?) for 8 days. The nicotine is completely out of your system. Third, you found this site, and have posted roll. That means no nicotine for today. That's all we ask. Tomorrow, well, we'll see about tomorrow when it comes.

Just to clarify, you've had no nicotine (patches, gum, lozenges) for 8 days?
