I have chewed since around 2007. It started out slow but it snowballed quickly. For the past year or so I have been chewing at least a can a day (cope wintergreen long cut) with no real breaks.
That's a pretty fuckin' over the top addiction you have there buddy. The good news, you're amongst friends and those who also have the same addiction. Only way to beat it is to go at it head first, full steam ahead, 110%.

So turn that hat around, post roll, and turn on that quit switch.

Over the top?

When I post roll, it's like a switch. It means I'm quit.

It's not like we're arm wrestling for our kids.

We're part distraction, part insane, and fully quit (and ready to help).
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

To overcome your addiction you must comprehend what it means to fail-Razd 3/12

Theres a lot of people that come here, especially vets, that WANT to be reminded that they are addicts.-Tarpon 6/12

Just as a building starts with architectural drawings. Your daily quit begins with a promise.-Scowick 2/13

Here and now, focused on today, minute by minute, whatever it takes, I promise to all my bros and myself not to become a negative stat and stay quit!-krok 1/15

I want everyone to be quit. Even the assholes.-Probe1957 1/18

Ignoring history or erasing history fixes nothing and leads you inevitably down the same path.-69franx 04/30/2021

You have helped already. You seem like good guys. I've lost my temper more times than I can count today but bitching about it doesn't help... knowing I can't back out does.
I'm still getting the hang of this, but I will see you all at roll call.
Cheers
You just gave me quit wood. "I will see y'all on roll tomorrow"... that's the most important part bro. AWESOMENESS.
I would rather lose to a cheater than win as a cheater.

Know your enemy. Did you know that a can of chew has about the same nicotine as 3 packs of smokes? Did you know that nicotine wascusedxas an herbicide until it was deemed to dangerous? I can't count how many of us HAD high blood pressure...

The beginning sucks, and not like Monica lewinsky. But succeeding at something that seemed like an impossibility before you joined will be a feeling like you cannot even imagine.

You can do this. If some weak dude like me can do it, you can. Post your word each day when you wake up. Then lean on your ktc family to get you thru the bumps. If you are a man of integrity, you will keep your word for a day. Check your inbox, my number is there. Use it if I can help.

Guess I'm the new guy... I thought this site was a little over the top when I first visited it last night (can't seem to sleep for some reason! Ha ha) but I find that I keep coming back to it. So I might as well jump in...

I have tried to quit before but it never lasted more than a few days. So here I am on day 3, trying to keep it going. My quit day was July 5th... no special reason, and no planning. Just cold turkey.
I want to be healthier and I'm sick of having this disgusting habit.
That's pretty much it. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

over the top is the way you beat it. Get pissed friend. Resolve no more for any reason.

Every time you hear the nic bitch whispering in your ear "just one more" read This and this

It's not a habit, it's an addiction. You're an addict, just like all of us. Get in with your group, start posting roll and qutting every day. Repeat. You want it? Only person stopping you is you.

Jump in with both feet, if you haven't read the welcome center click on it and do so now. Then post roll and get to know a few quitters in your group, in chat or through pm's - they will save your quit if you reach out in time of crisis. That may seem a bit "over the top" but it's true.
