24 hours is behind me and I’m looking to find any tools that will help my quit. Looking forward to the community support this page seems to provide!
You've come to the right place. You'll get plenty of support, and that support will come through ACCOUNTABILITY. We'll hold your feet to the fire through your quit. There is no room for weakness because the Nicodemon is looking for any crack to wedge her way back into your life.
WUPP. You're going to hear this over and over: Wake Up, Piss, Post. Post your promise early every single day, and keep that promise to not use nicotine in any form all day. Just worry about that day. If you need support, reach out. Trade digits through Private Messaging. Don't post your number in the forums.
Mupig gave you some sound advice on today's September roll page. Expect everything he said would happen to happen. Headaches, fog, sleeplessness, irritability, the works. It all goes away. Just don't give in to any of it.
Here's a question for you: Why are you quitting? If your answer is for your partner, your kids, etc., you're quitting for the wrong reasons. You've got to quit for you. This is very personal. If you're quitting for someone else, you may be tempted to turn your anger on them, blaming them for the shit you're going through, and it's not their fault. You've got to own your addiction and your quit.
You can do this,
@dnuck, ODAAT (One Day At A Time).
