Great choice, capt. Nothing to apologize for, sir. You've got this! Post roll daily, read all the good shit you can, and live free!

It's late here (mountain time) so don't expect too many replies. Honestly, just doing this for myself as sort of a quasi journal entry. Hello anybody; all quitters; all veterans..I'm close to a 16 year, 1 can/day of skoal wintergreen original dipper. Love (loved) the stuff. I've quit a few times with 4 years being my longest quit. It's true that we're lifetime addicts.

So here I am going on day 4. Feeling shitty, pissed, confused...find it a victory if I can go 10 seconds without thinking about a dip. And just like most guys here, have to provide for my family by working haha. How can I not be a pile of shit at work? Oh well, like many have said, quitting is the number 1 priority. It's amazing how that little fucking brown dirt can have such a grip on a grown man's life.

I'm dazed and in a fog --- sorry if this post makes no sense. I posted in December quitters and plan on doing so religiously...take care my new friends..
Welcome to your freedom for nicotine. You can do this!
You've got an important piece of the quit puzzle already down, that you are
an addict (like all of us). Post roll, be true to yourself, your quit brothers and sisters and your quit. Re-inforce your quit every day and take control of your addict behaviors.
I'll quit with you today. PM me if I can assist you.
Fish, eat, sleep. Repeat.

Your post makes perfect sense. As does your logic, we are addicts for life. We may as well be quitters for life to go with it. We will get there one day at a time. Today will become yesterday and tomorrow will become today. If we look no further than that and keep our word by posting roll, we have no chance of failure.

Welcome to the site Capt. Like yourself I too am an addict and took the steps necessary to rid myself of that little can of false hope. Let it be a reminder but never again become hostage to it. Quit for today and only for today, worry about tomorrow when it gets here. Post roll everyday, be accountable for your actions and be honest with your quit brothers, that's all we ask for.
