Yep, it's got to be for you. Of course, wanting to regain the trust of your wife and not have division between yourself and your family sure sounds like it's "for you" in my book. Remember how you felt typing that to a forum full of strangers if you start feeling like returning to the tin, and - if you find yourself that close to a cave - ask yourself how that tin can be more important for a temporary fix than your family. Post up on roll and we'll have your back, but the hard work is on you.

Thats a hard thing to go through Eric.  Addiction can tear a family apart.  I encourage you to read as much as you can on this site.  You'll see that people here had lots of different motivations to quit, but a common theme is that we had to quit for ourselves and not for  anyone else.  We have to want to change and do whatever it takes, one day at a time to get there.  So you came to the right place.  Find your group, post up your promise to yourself and your brothers and sisters here to not use any nicotine for the day, and know that the KTC community is here to have your back.  You can do this.

Don't be afraid.  You are not alone.

Introduction

My name is Eric and I had been dipping for 15 years. On day 2 of quit. Finally decided enough was enough when my wife kicked me out of the house till I get my act together. Been hiding it for ten years. She would catch me from time to time. But this time it was not good. It kills me to know I let my wife and four boys down to the addiction. I know that it is going to be tough but the end result of a happy, long life with my family is what I strive for
