This is one reason why I enjoy coming here daily. A new quitter. Quit on, post roll and make friends (too damn easy to do here) in a good way. I quit with you. One day at a time.

It's good to have seasoned addicts join the pack. You need to show all these young quitters how serious you are at quitting, post roll early every day. Those of us that have been addicts for longer than many of these guys have been alive can have a real impact setting the example of quitting.

Hello all, not certain if this is where I post an introduction. Anyway, have chewed almost a can a day for 35+ yrs. My quit coincided with my retirement and a annual teeth cleaning. Long story short I will be a week without tobacco tomorrow.
Congrats on your quit, but please clarify for me that you are nicotine free. Tobacco free is great, but this is a cold turkey site. We have some folks that go the NRT route and that's great for them, but it's not what we do here.
Man up and be a quitter ODAAT. Post Roll EDD. It works.

ODAAT: One Day At A Time
EDD: Every Damn Day

Welcome mniba! Post roll, quit like hell for today, wake up and repeat. While you're at it, read everything you can on KTC about why we fight this battle every day. This site has the potential to save your life if you jump in with both feet. Let's do it!
"Fuck nicotine dude. You don't need it. And you don't want it. It didn't do a thing for you and you know it." - worktowin
"today you dissided that shit wont control your life. and it wont. unless you let it." - drome
"Not thinking about nicotine is for people who've never used nicotine. We threw that option away with the first dip or drag on a cigarette. We are addicts, and cannot become un-addicted." - wildirish317
"You need to decide how much you really want to be quit." - pky1520
We are always at risk. And probably always will be. That is why I will never get "too quit" to post my +1. Every. Damn. Day. - geis2597

Congrats on quit, retirement, and teeth cleaning!

35 years of chew here as well, but it is great being quit.

Head over to the January 2016 quit group and post roll, your promise to yourself and all here that you will not use nicotine for 24 hours. It will be an everyday thing on wake up.

Exchange digits with your fellow quitters (use the PM thing) to expand your support network.

Drink lots of water, exercise.
