Hmm... dude hasn’t been on site in 3 days... zero roll posts. Maybe anxiety got him.

Wenty... IF you come back and see this, do yourself a favor and jump in. Community helps combat addiction. The more the merrier. Not being alone is HUGE bro. HUGE.

This can be done. Ask me how I know...

AJ... 2,044 days of freedom.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

I, too, have suffered from anxiety my entire life. Yes, chew will temporarily relieve anxiety (so will alcohol, sedatives, benzos, etc. etc.). The problem is those things will kill you, anxiety will not (although it sometimes feels like it). If you haven’t yet gotten serious about treating your anxiety, I highly recommend Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  It will also help with your quit. How do I know this? Because I’m on Day 15. I quit with you today. If you want digits to stay in touch and support one another, send me a PM.

I am on my 5th night of no dipping. I have been dipping for 20 years. I have just quit cold turkey. I suffer from anxiety attacks and lately been having chest pains and didn’t n ow if it was anxiety or heart problems but it scared me so much that I quit dipping. I’m doing pretty good but having anxiety everyday about scared of having a heart attack. I am laying in bed right now wondering if I take a dip would I feel better and would the anxiety stop or what. It’s hard living like this everyday. I am just thankful I’ve been able to quit for 5 days so far..

Hi Wentyard,

There is a really good saying that is used in here.

1 Problem + nicotine = 2 problems.

Nicotine NEVER solved anyone's problems.  Go post roll in February '19.  Make that promise to stay nicotine free for today and then come back tomorrow and do it again.  Before you know it, you will be celebrating your 100 days of being nic free.  We quit one day at a time here.  Don't worry about tomorrow until tomorrow is today.

My digits are also a PM away.  All you have to do is ask.

I chewed for 31 years and I was up to 3 cans a day when I decided to quit 306 days ago.  So if I can do it, so can you.
If you want my digits, just ask and they will be yours, but I expect yours in return.

Accountability is a statement of personal promise, both to yourself and to the people around you, to deliver specific defined results.
Brian Dive

Do not be complacent about your achievements and not to strive for continual improvement when you get to the top. As soon as you let success go to your head, you sink into following familiar patterns and play it safe. In other words, you risk losing your edge.
Roy T. Bennett

You need anything, ask.  You feel strong, help.  This quit is for you but we got your back.

Anxiety is tough starting out. I promise it gets better Wenty! I went through a ton of it. The nicotine masks it's just enough that when you quit it will be tough are first and take some time to work through. Taking one more dip isn't going help anything. My number is a PM away if you need an ear to bend!

Hi wentyard, I’d firstly like to congratulate you on your decision.  I know it is tuff right now, but I promise you it gets better, sooner rather than later.  You just have to get through the funk.  I too couldn’t sleep, I would get nerve jolts through my whole body, couldn’t remember my birthday, ... it was legit.  But all of that subsided and gave way to a freedom I never knew existed.  The first week is generally the toughest.  You can stick through it as many of us have done.  It gets better, just stay strong, determined, and heavily involved with your February quit group.  These folks will be your brothers in arms who are going through the same suck as you at the same time.  Post roll, honor your promise, repeat 24hrs later.  Following this regiment, you will never dip again.
