This is an awesome intro. For the record... Many many of us started at ktc much like you did. A little over 600 days ago I posted about "my good friend the kodiak bear." One day at a time, I know that he is no friend.

Nicotine is a wicked beast Max. It makes you believe that it helps you in life. That you need it. That without it you will fail. All 100% bullshit. The only thing it does... The only thing... Is take away the withdrawal effects of not using it. That's pretty fucked up. But you can do this. If an ass goblin like mogul can, you can.

By the way, that line was the perfect start to my weekend! You've earned my respect and if I can ever help you, shoot me a pm and my number is yours.

Getting numbers and texting is kind of awkward at first. It will make this a million times easier if you buy into the idea early. Trust us....

Welcome aboard.
These are the type of intros I like to see...a little bit of cockiness up front; some classic newbie mistakes (i.e. the trophy can), a classic defensive call out (i.e. ass goblin...which I might add ranks up there with "cum bubble")...and then ultimately the 180 turn-around...your head first dive into a world of quit.

Like Mogul said and all of the other rocks of quit said... there is support in these walls of quit. You're going to need that cockiness and ability to defend yourself, because nicotine is one tough bitch. You're going to need to be cocky and realize that your quit is stronger than your addiction. Feel free to call us what you want, insult us, and take out all the miserable frustrations of quit on us. We've all been there and we have thick skin. At the end of the day we have one common goal...to make sure you don't use nicotine in any form. So stay strong brother, get active, and post roll every day.
Agree with these two guys. Three words of advice. One, Posting roll is the most important thing you can do here. I treat my roll post like a seat belt. Do I need one? 99% of the time! probably not, but on the one percent of the time you can bet your ass. So I wear my seatbelt every time I drive. Two, treat that roll as it was intended...as a promise to thousands of other quitters. Believing in that promise has kept me away from the can on at least a dozen days since I quit. Lastly, don't be afraid to get involved here...go on chat, post updates on your intro, respond to others intros, get phone numbers, etc. you do all 3 you will be well on your way to a strong quit. The quit for real kind. I know when I joined I initially thought that I wasn't quit long enough to add any value...totally wrong, this site is kept alive by the energy and frustrations on the new quitters. Good luck.

Max- you better fuck this shit before it fucks you. There are no 'goods' that can come from dipping poison. Zero.

The initial decision to quit is an easy one, we'll all wanted to quit before and we've probably all talked ourselves out of it or stopped for awhile and then went back to finger fucking the cancer can.

The act of staying quit takes intestinal fortitude- you have to want to be quit with everything you've got. Put as much time into quitting as you did feeding your addiction. This is done by posting roll, early and every day and then being a man of your word for 24 hours; it's done by reading everything you can on KTC (introductions; hall of fame speeches; posts etc.), getting on live chat, and building a network of fellow quitters. The more involved you get the stronger your quit will become. Own your quit. Be responsible for your decisions. When you post roll you are promising to be nicotine free for that day. Keep your promise.

Drink lots of water the next few days and exercise- it'll help with the fog and the craves. It will get easier.

Just remember: anything but nicotine.

Quit on.

Good morning Max. Please don't change or edit your intro and 98 days from now go back and read it. You will understand what I was referring too. We call it addict speak. I did kinda drop a bomb on your intro and then turn around and run but it wasn't because I don't support your quit. Listen to these badass quitters here and stay around this site and you will find yourself QLF. Also, that Sluggo guy was in the Navy and he's cute. I'm just saying. your favorite ass goblin.

Welcome veritascs.

Quit one day at a time.. The first few weeks it may be down to quit 1 minute or even 30 seconds at a time. Breathe deep, put on your big boy panties, and execute the plan.

It's that simple..

It's not easy, but it is simple...
Welcome.

Here are a list of things you should do as a member here at KTC. At least it is what has worked for me 169 times in a row.

1- Wake up, Piss, Post Roll, Honor your word. Rinse and repeat daily
2- Reach out to other members and exchange numbers
3- Use said numbers to weave a web of accountability so that if you disappear people will be able to find your lying addict ass
4- Accept the fact that you are an addict and you will never be cured.
5- Focus only on today. Fuck Tomorrow
6- Don't take out the rage you will feel on your family. Do it here we can take it.
7- Read everything you can on the site (intros, Hall Speeches, Words of wisdom, quit groups)
8- Read some more
9- Get on Chat and build more connections
10- Don't be a pussy. Drop yer socks and grab yer cock its gonna be a bumpy ride.

My digits are in your pm box (top right) I am happy to lend support.
If you do this ^^^^^^ you will live longer and be happier and healthier. Simple. Not easy, but simple
Quit since 1/23/14

Thanks! Mogul may not be an ass goblin, I'm just hyphy.

Habit/addiction, both are real and both are the problem. That's why I'm here.
Whoa, whoa, not so quick. No one said that Mogul is *not* an ass goblin. Lets not jump to conclusions here. There is substantial evidence that Mogul may very well be an ass goblin... or a butt troll.

Congrats on the best decision of your life. Good choice dumping the trophy can too. No good would have come from that. Now go post roll!
Mogul may be an ass goblin, but Mogul is our ass goblin. And he is also dead on point while having your best interest in mind. Go all-in here. No half-assedness. Learn about your addiction. Make your commitment to yourself, your quit, and to us. If you do this you will have more support and accountability than you've had in your life.

I quit with you today.
