Congrats EQ on your HOF day!
Outstanding, well earned.
SPEECH!!
Your battle was hard fought and won, don't ride quietly into the sun.
There's folks out there on the fence waffling, the quit or not to quit urges are jostling.
You can be THE voice of reason and tip them into their quitting season.
Please dear Endless, don't be shy, LET THE WORLD HEAR YOUR VICTORY CRY!
Congratulations on the HOF!!!
Huge congratulations on your first big milestone. One day at a time, even better days are ahead!

Quit day 4! going in strong!!
Fucking awesome man!

How'd you get here and what's the plan for today?
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

To overcome your addiction you must comprehend what it means to fail-Razd 3/12

Theres a lot of people that come here, especially vets, that WANT to be reminded that they are addicts.-Tarpon 6/12

Just as a building starts with architectural drawings. Your daily quit begins with a promise.-Scowick 2/13

Here and now, focused on today, minute by minute, whatever it takes, I promise to all my bros and myself not to become a negative stat and stay quit!-krok 1/15

I want everyone to be quit. Even the assholes.-Probe1957 1/18

Ignoring history or erasing history fixes nothing and leads you inevitably down the same path.-69franx 04/30/2021

hi my name is shannon i'm in day 3 of quit, i am slowly learning new ways to change my way of thinking... I have a good trainer so that helps.. Today hasn't been too bad but i still have my guard high an i'm constantly getting on the site reading an learning it seems to help! i have been smoking for 17 yrs so i know its going to be a struggle but i am doing it an i will continue to quit 1 promise at a time... I have an event to attend this weekend an i already have anxiety thinking about it! Advice would be great! i also am not the type to reach out for help of any kind or talk to people about my weakness, so this is all new to me!
Congrats and welcome! Look forward to your event. You will soon find out that you enjoy things *more* without having to run outside and smoke. Trust me. Keep quittingÂ…it only gets better. Glad you're here. -Dave

Welcome. Don't listen to that Rewire character - he's always full of shit.

Just kidding - of course.

When a crave hits, remember your promise. A crave lasts 3-5 minutes, then it's over. Grab some digits, and if the crave seems more than you want to handle, reach out to someone.

Post your promise every morning, and keep your word. It's simple, but hard as hell to do. But, every one of us has been through it. If we can, you can.

Proud to be quit with you.
Just to empahsize what RDB said - "A crave lasts 3-5 minutes." It can seem like a lot longer, but really, it's not. If you can find something to help distract you for that time, it can be a big help. I basically lived on KTC my first few months, reading; there's a ton of stuff here to help keep you occupied and get you through those times. I also found that perusing tvtropes helped distract me as well :)
thanks ill keep that information in mind!!
Yes, what they all said.
You can do this, every day, no exceptions for no reason.
Read all you can and jump in chat or text or talk in your group.
Lots of water, exercise and use seeds, toothpicks , gum , candies for the fixation.
