I'm on day 12!!!
Hey there Kill The Can community. My name is Michael and I have made the decision for my family to stop dipping after 20 years. I was dipping a can every other day of Cope. Man I miss it!!!
I thought i get get through this with no problem. I was thinking OK i'll have a few cravings but I can just chew gum and push through. Well.....That was only true for the first few days. Then i felt a feeling that I have never felt before. I ended up in the hospital running all kinds of test because I was sure something was wrong. I couldn't even explain to the Dr. how I was feeling. I have to say day 3-8 were the hardest for me so far.
My wife then shows me this site she found and Oh My Geez!! There are other people feeling just as shitty as me!!!
Well I'm here to stay boys. Dip free and ready to get passed all this bullshit so I can live my life and enjoy it for a long time.

Michael - glad to see you here!
Your next step is to post roll in the
January quit group. Roll is our way of promising each other that we will not have nicotine for the day. We post roll every day here. Our system is pretty simple. Wake up, post roll, and keep your word for the day. Then, the next day, do it all over again.
If you make that promise early - first thing every morning - and commit to making it every day, no matter what, then your chances of staying quit will go up exponentially. Here's a video to help you understand how to post roll:
Posting Roll on KTC Kill the CanYou'll get the most out of this site by connecting with other quitters. The time to do that is

Start building that web of accountability and brotherhood today, so it will be there for you later when you really need it. People will send you their cell # so that, if you need encouragement, or find yourself wavering and trying to stare down a can, you can text or call someone who knows what you're going through to help you through it.
Here's some links on the main site that will help you understand what you're going to be going through:
