Congratulations on 2 YEARS of freedom!!!
Just one and you will be back to where you started, and where you started was desperately wishing you were where you are now.

Happy HOF Day CBean! Think about how far you've come in the last 100 days. I know your family is proud of you and so am I!

Keep it going brother!

Well, it's the end of day 6 and I am feeling pretty good. I am at home now with the family so my attention has been devoted to them completely. I still use the Smokey Mtn. of course but you don't need a spit can/bottle with this stuff. Just swallow it seems to work fine. Numerous sores in my mouth make it painful to eat. It's worth it though. The satisfaction I get when I tell people I haven't dipped in what will soon be 7 GLORIOUS DAYS, is totally amazing. Thank you to all the quitters before me and the guys in my August Quit Group. We got this and there ain't no way I'm going back. Trying to figure out what new gun or accessory I will be buying when I hit my Hall of Fame 100!!!!

To my Dad who is now in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, you always told me to finish what I start. Well, I AM FINISHED WITH TOBACCO. By the way Dad, you are my inspiration along with my son and my fellow quitters. You quit cigs cold turkey and never looked back. I will do the same.
One week is bad ass! You are getting through the worst of the suck right now. There will be moments when you will be challenged. Stay focused and stay quit. Don't be too proud to ask for help here if you should need it.

I quit with you today!

CONGRATS!!! GOOD JOB! Glad you are here and glad you are sticking with it. Daily post. Tons of water. Some fruit Juice. I use Bacc Off. It has a better flavour in my opinion. I only do it now first thing in the AM. Never failed. Wake and Pack. Mostly before I was fully conscious. I was on such a tight budget that I got myself to using 3 cans a week. If the budget was better it was an "economy bucket" a day. Glad that shite is behind me today.

Today is Day 5. I now have a few sores in my mouth and continue to wake up every few hours and lose sleep. I have yet to experience "The Fog". But, just like the sores and the sleep, I'm sure this will begin soon enough. I have printed the "Contract to Quit' and the Spousal Information. My work takes me out of the country or out of state. At the moment, I am out of state and will be travelling home today to see my family and hopefully get a chance to cover everything with my wife. My son is only 2 1/2, so he won't understand (Right Now). When he is old enough I will be filling him in on the beast inside the can. I have been using the tobacco free Smokey Mtn. It's horrible stuff but tobacco free. I'm pretty sure this will not be habit forming due to the taste. I am also limiting my daily intake so that I don't continue to spend money on crutches. I can do this. Thank you all so much for checking in on my daily attempt at a log. I work for an engineering company on numerous construction sites all over the world as a "Health, Safety, Environmental Manager", so, I need to be the example for the employees I engage on a daily basis. I will at least post roll while I am home this weekend. I may not have a chance to get back to my daily log until Monday. But, I will continue to post my promise daily in Roll Call.

Welcome CBean. Let's get to know you a little better. Where do you call home?

I congratulate you on your quit. You seem to have a keen eye on the nic bitch and understand what it takes to quit. We will help and you will never be alone.

Thank you guys for the awesome support. I do have a strong quit. I hadn't included my wife in this until this morning. I had a horrible night of no sleep. She called to tell me about an approaching strong storm. She asked how I was doing and I said that I didn't sleep much last night. When she asked why, I told her it might have something to do with my quitting tobacco. She was very excited to say the least. I asked her to please hold of on the celebration, I have a long way to go. It will be one day at a time, ODAAT. So, I will push on full steam ahead and with the support found here, I will be a quitter of tobacco for the rest of my life. It's good to be a quitter!!!!!
Have you shared the contract to cave or the sposual support information with her yet? Having a spouse who doesnt fully understand KTC or the quitting process has derailed people in the past. Make sure that you find balance as you go along.
There are no circumstances in which using nicotine will improve the outcome.

My journey. The best part it is not over yet.

CB, you are doing great. IT will be a tough week. But your quit smells strong. Stay close to this site. Exchange numbers with some guys in your group. My numbers are a PM away.

You can do this.

Remember to BURN THE SUCK OF YESTERDAY AND TODAY AND TOMORROWS SUCK INTO YOUR MEMORY CELLS.

and just think, stay quit and you wont ever have to do through that again. Dip one time? You will go through it again and it will keep getting worse.

Nice job reaching out to your new fellow quitters too. Brotherhood is a huge part of KTC

Don't be ashamed about being an addict, what you did in the past cannot be changed. We all have gross and embarrassing stories about dipping.

The only thing to be embarrassed about here is not posting roll.

Be tough, I wept not once but twice on my Day 3, but somehow lived to tell the tale. To be free of dipping is a freedom you soon cherish!
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

I have now passed the 24 hour mark. I can't say it was all that hard.......WHAT????? IT WAS FREAKIN' HORRIBLE!!!! I had a lot of times where I felt anxious. About what I have no idea. I will say withdrawls. Not a bad start today. I have been keeping myself busy with work and water. LOTS of water. I am starting to have some chest congestion (which had begun before my quit). I was planning on the gym, but that may have to wait until I quit this hacking. Other than that. So far so good. I did pick up a couple of cans of Smokey Mtn. today. I wanted to have it just in case. Tried a dip and it's not bad stuff. I can do this. Thank you for all the advice and support guys. Greatly appreciated.
Keep pushing CB and just remember ODAAT will get you where you want to be.

Awesome decision CBean! B)B

I could never quit by myself and I had nicotine in my life for 35 years. Tomorrow I will post 235 days quit. That seemed impossible to me when I joined this site last September. Log your journey here and it will help others in the future. It will also help to read your own words back to yourself when you are having a rough day.

I quit with you today!
