Hell yes it does! haha. Seeing the oblitterated remains of those cans reminded me of what it was doing to my mouth for so long. Thank you all who helped support me on my way to quitting. Never thought that quitting would feel so good.
If you get the urge to buy a can whenever you get some money, You can send it to me, and I will cut off a piece of lip flesh. maybe remove a lymphnode, or some teeth, for you.... Deal?

I only wish I was smart enough to quit at your age! Instead I was a slave for 28 years. Spent countless dollars on death and junk at the convenice stores.

Don't take this lightly, taking a dip is like a bullet in a gun, you just may be the can next time. Happy shootng!

Was this too dark? Sorry my mind ran off on a tangent. great decision! you show me that 18 year old invinciblity attiude and be the best quitter you can be!
Same here...I intentionally poisoned myself for 20 years before I decided coffin-shopping wasn't for me.

Thank you to all that posted the kind words of advice and telling me you'll be there for me. I'm here for you too. I'll be quit for 23.5 hours as of now and I owe it to you guys. I've decided to join the fight against nic and shove my foot up its ass. To all that posted the tough love comments: thank you, I needed those words to tell me that I was being stupid, I'm sorry for having a dip in while posting that post and even saying that I did, I just wanted to be truthful to my fellow quit brethren and I will stay truthful to all of you. I've thankfully found where I can buy some smokey mountain. Any suggestions as to which flavor and brand to buy would be nice. I'm planning to use the alternatives for the first day or two just to get those days over and then I'm moving on to regular gum (not nic gum). I've read all of your posts, taken them to heart, and DECIDED to apply your knowlege and concern to my own life. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Happily quit for almost a day and counting (for the rest of my life)
Nice job bro. Ask us for anything you need. Please do not think of quitting for the rest of your life. That is too far away. All we ask is that you quit for today. Anyone can quit for just 1 day. I have done it 509 times now.

Zack,

Quit now. I'm on day 2 and I"m working this out 1 day at a time just like you. I"m 42 with 3 kids I've spent the last 20+ years sneaking around, wasting time, losing time with loved ones, all so I could "sneak in a dip". It's no way to live. I've never told anyone this but I snuck out on my wife on the night we got married to dip. Sad. You don't want to live this way trust me. I've sacrificed so much and for what becasue I'm an addict. You're really young quit now.

Zackina -

Don't post here again with a chew in. It's an insult to this entire community.
I couldnt agree more.

I took my lip out when I first found the sight because it felt wrong to have one in when the folks here were fighting so hard.

I can't tell how serious you are about quitting. If you ARE serious, throw all of your dip away. Even if it's 3 cans, that's only $15-$20 max. Chump change compared to not quitting. I would buy 4 cans at a pop, and would think "I'll quit after number 4." I never did... There was always something that would weaken the resolve I felt during can 2. I ended up throwing 1 1/2 cans down the toilet when I decided to quit. That was the hardest part for me so far in my quit.

You've gotta either stop being a pussy and quit, or continue being a puss that hides something "too important to give up" from your loved ones. If you're hiding, you're ashamed. If you're ashamed, you know what you're doing is wrong and/or stupid. I know... I was a closet dipper for 14 years.

I'm here to help you, but only if you REALLY want this quit. People who do this half-assed don't last long. If you're ready to face the suck with me, post roll, keep your word, and be quit. It's simple, but not easy.

Hey ya'll, My name is Zack and I am currently 18years and 4months old and I have been chewing since I was approximately 13. My problem is that once I have the money, I end up buying a couple cans at a time, not just one, but more than one. I've tried the whole "limit yourself routine" and the "work to keep your mind off it" but them don't work for me. I need social help, I have kept this from my girlfriend and we've been together since november 6th of 2010, and I've been dipping all along. I've tried to quit several times but I just end up caving in and buying more and finishing it within a half a day. Problem is, I can't find any alternatives to buy in stores since I don't and never will use credit cards for online purchases. As I write this, I shamefully hang my head as I have a big ol pinch in. I just went and bought a new can about 30 min ago. I need help and killthecan.org is the place for me to get this help. I'll need all the support I can get, I want to be able to say that i've conquered an addiction and stompped it out of my life. So please help! Thank ya'll for listenin'
Use sunflower seeds, licorice, beef jerky - whatever it takes.

PM me your address and I will get you a couple of cans of Smokey Mountain ( I just got a log in the mail). No cost to you - just get your head on straight and do not miss this opportunity.

We all were 18 once and most of us were well into chewing/dipping at that point. Do this now and save yourself years of oain and suffereing.

OK, Let me see if I can help explain this place to you.

Your #1 job: Promise us not to dip by posting roll.
Your #2 job: Keep your promise.

Your optional, but highly recommended job#3: Get active in this forum (and I mean become a post whore like no other) and makes friends and enemies in this community. The more friends you have the more and better support. Even enemies help you quit here, 'cause they still want you to quit, but also because who the hell wants to fail in the face of an enemy.

Our job: Provide you all the help, emotional support, guidance, accountability, friendship, and tough love that you will need once the nic is out of your life. (Note: our job is NOT to make the quit easy nor to quit for you. We have no magic tricks, quitting is not pleasant.) We will also remind you that we are living proof that despite its difficulties, quit IS possible, and IS DEFINITELY worth it.

Zackina - this community can give you all the help in the world, but it won't mean shit if you're not 100% committed to improving your life right now. I commend you at 18 for realizing that nicotine is keeping you from your best. So, why the fuck do you come here and ask for help with a chew in? You need to make this happen. This quit will be 100% your responsibility. Your accomplishment and freedom. It will be extremely hard. It will take a commitment you've likely never experienced.

Don't post here again with a chew in. It's an insult to this entire community.
I second this motion.

Zach, the cards are stacked against all of us and it seems to be even worse for the young guns, which I consider myself at 24.
