Looks like Aaron didn't quite give enough $$$ to big tobacco.

If you show back up here then get your quit on. This place works if you let it. I dipped longer than you and yes it sucked but after 697 days I can tell you that I would still be a slave if I wasn't here.
Welcome Aaron, the Brotherhood will help you, I'm only at day 162 and if I didnt have other members to talk to and discuss issues I am dealing with I would probably went back to the Ol Nic Bitch.
Hang in there and exchange digits from your support group or whoever you need to talk to that you think might help you.
We are behind you 100%

Aaron, welcome to KTC! Don't be scared, be successful. Lots of us have dipped 20 years or more (hi, 35 years here), we are now quit. If we can, you can.

Quit is simple, but nicotine is a strong addiction and early days can be tough.

Step 1, flush every can you have down the toilet. You don't want temptation around right now.

Step 2, go th the April 2016 quit group and post roll - your daily promise to use no nicotine for 24 hours. Trade digits with the quitters there -- yes complete strangers will help you with accountability, go for it.

Step 3, read everything on this site to learn. Knowledge cuts down fear and tames nicotine. Drink lots of water, exercise, drink cranberry juice to flush your system.

Step 4, realize you are healing every day you free yourself from nicotine's control.

You are quitting for you this time, give yourself the best chance of success and use the tools offered here!

Quitting today and scared to death
« on: January 22, 2016, 05:12:00 PM »
I have made a decision to quit and have been playing with the idea for a while now. I've quit countless times in the past, but because someone else wanted me to. This time I want to. I have dipped for about 20 years and today I put the numbers in the calculator and realized I have spent nearly 38k on snuff. Holy crap that is someones salary! I found this site while looking for tobacco free alternatives, hopefully I can get the accountability I need to keep me on the straight and narrow. Thanks in advance for your support.
