Welcome aboard smooch. When I joined I remember feeling a little put off by everyone jumping up the ass of all the new guys. But believe me when I tell you this. I too felt I loved dipping...many of us did, but after being quit for a while I realized my so called love was really my addiction feeding my mind a line of shit. I didn't really love dipping, but that belief kept my humping that weed for way too long. So while I'm sure you don't want everyone to take what you wrote so literally, don't miss the message. Realize what your addiction is and attack that addiction with everything you've got. Good luck.

Snooch and Gooch, gotta a good ring to it :) My advice is to jump in with both feet and get obsessed with this site. Read everything, post roll, get to know some of those in your quit group, start posting on others posts, and go to live chat. I was constantly on this site when I started and it helped a lot. U will get great advice and support. I was a slave for 23 years so I'm in the same boat U were. I quit with u today.

Well I be damn how can anybody like something that makes your breath smell like shit, teeth a pretty yellow brownish color which if you don't take excellent care of you lose half of them by age 40 or before! Oh yeah no charge for cancer! Look man we all thought we loved the shit but that's the nic bitch in action! I'm 20 days quit, dipped 38 years I hate the shit! She literally runs your life! Bet you one those rednecks( like I was) walking through wal-mart with your fine ass woman with a spit bottle hid somewhere or looking for somewhere to spit! You don't think its bad get close one of your dipping buddies when you quit and smell! Dude its frigging disgusting! Odds are if you got sons,newphews,whatever that are younger that hang around you when you dip later on they want to and more than likely going to dip! Now how would you feel knowing your more than likely the reason they started dipping and found out they had cancer! Just saying food for thoughts! I quit with you my brother!

Welcome snooch. (what the hell is a snooch?) Come on man. From the gate you have a negative attitude, "Pretty difficult." And as RT said, you don't love a damn thing about the nic bitch, NOTHING. It's pretty damn amazing that you've made it 10 days with that mindset. The best thing is that you've found this place. Your desire to quit, your understanding that you are an addict and the support that you receive AND give out here, will change your life. You have to want it though.

I was where your are at 10 years ago. Felt I needed to quit because I have a lot of people counting on me. I had dipped for 24 years so I thought I was starting to push my luck. I quit even though I still loved dipping. I used to tell people that I dipped for 24 years and loved every damn one of them. I stayed off tobacco for 4 years out of pure stubborness, then I caved over one chew.
I never seperated the fantasy of dipping being relaxing and who I was from the reality that nicotine had control and was slowly killing me. You can stop for a time out of stubborness and willpower, but nicotine will always find its way back in during your weakest moments. This shit isn't your buddy or your friend. It's just a fucking plant that you and all of us on this site are addicted to by our oun choosing.
