Welcome back LT. You stopped for 273 days without KTC, regardless of what these foggy headed addicts tell you.

You only posted roll twice during March 2016, and then set off on your own. I donÂ’t even remember you, and I was there. You werenÂ’t really.

You canÂ’t quit like that. Not when youÂ’re an addict. Not when you need support. The way this works, you lean on others that are going through the same thing you are, when you need it. Then, you help others when they need it. ItÂ’s a journey, together. ItÂ’s much easier than going alone, as you now know.

DonÂ’t let these bastards grind you down. Some are abusive. Ignore them. Focus on those who are willing to help you. Focus also on those who need you.

ItÂ’s not a long road. You just need to get through today.
Wildirish, I can agree with some of what you have to say. To call people foggy headed addicts and bastards? Aren't you doing the same thing you chastise? Quitting is very black and white. There are rules here that a caver needs to follow. If every caver were treated as a special butterfly, this site and its methodology would not work. This guy needs to come to clean and own his failure; otherwise, he is destined to repeat it.
You focus on the wrong parts of my post. My point is that he posted roll twice, then went on his merry way to 273 days of quit. This was without KTC. Like it or not, that is a fact.

Does he have to answer the questions? I don't know. The only real rule is to post roll every day.

Should he answer the questions? Yes, if he's serious about his quit, he should. He should answer them to help figure out why the wheels fell of his quit.

This is a guy who participated in the site for two whole days two years ago. Do I feel betrayed? No, how could I? He wasn't around long enough to even notice he was here.

The bastards part is simply an English translation of a Latin saying "Illegitimi Non Carborundum". I thought it fit, as some of you will try to do just that.

Hold his feet to the fire Eric, and challenge his excuses. Challenge him to examine why he wants to quit. Challenge his seriousness.

In all of this, remember why we are here.

LT, read My Intro . These are some things I discovered while you were off on your 273 day excursion that might help you this time. It's indexed, with links to things, like how to answer the three questions. Again, welcome back.

After almost 20 years of dipping, I did it, I finally quit. I had tried so many times and this time, it stuck. It was hard as hell, but thank God, I pulled through.

That was 273 days and 3 months ago.....what???

Unfortunately, I quit for 273 days and then I fell off the wagon and have been back to dipping for 3 months. It was a small slip at first, but now I am back to a can a day. Brothers, I need your support. I hate this and need to be quit for good.
Welcome, Brother! (or is it Sister? Just Checking)

What I found useful is to think of nicotine addiction as a prison where all sentences are for life and there's only two ways out. One is dead in a pine box. The other is parole. Getting paroled from this prison has a condition, though - No Nicotine Today. As long as we maintain this condition, we stay on the outside. Break this condition, and it's back to the Big House.

I mean this. That cell in Nicotine Prison has your name on the door, and it always will. There is no 'just one'. Never has been. Never will be.

Since you seem to be a KTC retread (no judging; just stating facts), you have four questions to answer, viz.:
  • What Happened?
  • Why Did It Happen?
  • What Will You Do Differently Next Time?
  • How Badly Do You Want To Be Quit?
Let's see your answers. Think long and hard, then get back to us. Just think; if you had kept the Law of Addiction in mind, you'd be well on your way to the Fourth Floor by now. Here's that Law, in all its glory: http://whyquit.com/pr/072907.html

Above all, remember it: YOU CANNOT HAVE JUST ONE. NOT GONNA HAPPEN, EVER, SO PUT THAT SCHITT OUTTA YOUR MIND FOREVER!
Man up or get the fuck out! We take quitting seriously here, every fucking day! You are either all in or not in at all. Don't waste the time of those making this a community of winners. Only serious applicants need apply.
qUITTING IS HARD, BUT CAN BE DONE. Sack up and quit.

You never quit before, only stopped. You have been a member of this site for 2 years and have 6 posts. Do you see the problem, or shall I spell it out for you?

IÂ’ll quit with you brother. IÂ’m sending my digits in pm, send me yours back.

I was a 3 can a day dipper for 31years and I am now 53 days quit thanks to KTC and the brothers I have come to know here.

If you are ready, IÂ’m there with you.

IÂ’m with ya brother, I had been trying to quit on and off for years. Finally I decided to quit being a pussy and do it. That was 8 days ago. ItÂ’s going to stick this time and I believe itÂ’s because of KTC and me being sick of checking my mouth daily and bugging the crap out of my doctor friend all the time about cancer checks. It is so freeing. I thought chew calmed my anxiety but now IÂ’m seeing that it was one of the biggest causes. Toss the can again man, suck it up and feel like shitnfor a few days. When it sticks this time you will never have to quit again. Good luck brother
