Starting my third week quit. I had the dip dream two nights ago. You know, the one where you're dreaming you have a big fat dip in. It seemed so real that when I woke up I thought I had caved. Glad to know it was only a dream.
Those dreams are rough, but they will fade over time. I'm sorry to hear about your wife. Any chance of dragging her into this den of debauchery and getting her on the right path? I'm not sure if we've had a husband/wife team roaming the halls before.

Don't confuse your path with your destination. Just because it's stormy now doesn't mean that you aren't headed for sunshine.

Day 12 for me. I'm coming thru the fog I think. Having random craves at times but seem to be handling them ok. I'm sick of seeds and candy. My mouth is sore from chewing on so much shit. I changed to toothpicks and chew a lot of gum. My wife caved today. I'm disappointed but what do you do. I'm not going back thru another quit. I wish she would join here. This has really helped me. Thanks to everyone.

Day 2. Hour 46 into my quit. Haven't had a terrible time yet but I did notice I was a little more on edge today than yesterday. Stopped and got some smokey mountain tonight on my way home. Smells ok. Haven't tasted yet. My wife quit smoking Sunday night too and she's having a time of it. I've been texting with her all day to stay strong. This forum has really kept my head up and helped cause I know there are thousands of guys out there fighting the fight just like me. I believe I can resist the nic bitch.
You got this man. Stay strong.

Some folks have used this site as an aid to stop smoking. Believe it was Ginet or 2mch2lv4 (both ladies) that quit smoking using this site. Tell your wife to sign up and leverage KTC power.

It would be a little weird but I WOULD 100% CHOOSE WEIRD OVER DEATH.

  • Interests: Well, there's no acceptable way to say goodbye here. You're either all in, or get out. I'm checking out. I do appreciate having a bunch of quitters to shoot the shit with, to distract each other from difficulty and share encouragement. Those of you who stay and pay it forward are better than I for doing so. I do congratulate all of you for finding the strength to quit and the toughness to stay quit. Stay strong. Stay quit.I just don't feel net positive from the time I spend here, and I don't feel like the KTC system itself has any bearing on my quit. That's not to say it doesn't work if you invest in it, but y'all have known since day one I believe I can do this myself. I've got family and friends I'm accountable to. I've been enjoying every single day of not having to feed an addiction. Even that first week, I loved being able to say no. I'm all in for improving my health and not making stupid choices.I'm going to continue to say no to nicotine for the rest of my life. You do the same. All the best. Ben.P.S. Fuck Marty Barrington.

This is my first full day without nicotine in years. Feeling pretty good about it but I know this is only the beginning.
I'm with you, Steve.

I hadn't had a day without nicotine in at least five years, until last Saturday. Now I've got three.

Actually, I've got four, because I posted that I'm not using nicotine today. And neither are you. Just do what you have to do to get to tomorrow with your quit intact, and you're one day more into reclaiming your brain for Steve.

PM me if you need to chat, or a veteran, I don't care, just get through the day and be here tomorrow.

Please only post on one intro, the mods will merge them soon.

You are correct, do not look back. Everyone here is an addict with histories of self abuse, looking back is counter productive.

Post roll daily, get some phone numbers, stay close to the KTC, drink a gallon or 2 of water, and I'll quit with you today.

What's up brother. You are making a great decision on quitting the nic bitch. I am on day 12 and I already feel much better then I did with that whore. Get the seeds, gum, candy, and fake dip ready. Have all the tools in your arsenal to help you succeed this quit. Things will be rough and at other times it will be super easy. All you have to do is NOT put that shit in your lip. Its really that simple, who fucking knew?

.:HOW TO BASICS:.

Roll Call Page:
1. In the Community Section of the Forums click "Quit Groups"
2. Scroll down to the pinned topic that reads "Pre HOF January 2015 Roll Call"
3. Welcome to your accountability page. Not only to yourself but to us.

To Post Roll:
1. Follow the directions listed to post roll.
2. If you don't understand the directions do as followed.
A. In the right corner under the last roll posted click the "quote" tab.
B. Copy EVERYTHING from the "Quoting" box. Paste it in the box above it.
C. Add your name and day to this box.
D.Remove everything from the "Quoting" box so it is blank.
E. Post Roll and quit with us for 24 hours.

Hope that helps. You are going to be one pissy motherfucker for awhile. People here WILL piss you off. Don't be afraid to butt heads and get that shit out. Remember we are all here to help. I quit with you today brother.

This is my first full day without nicotine in years. Feeling pretty good about it but I know this is only the beginning. I wish I hadn't tried to be the cool kid in 8th grade and start dipping with my buddies. Too late for that though so I'll deal with my mistake like everyone else had to. I am having one hell of a time figuring out how to post roll. Can somebody tell me where to go to find the roll call page? Thanks.

Not gonna draw a distinction between cigs and dip. I would stop both nic and alcohol at once.

My story: 25 year dipper can a day, roughly 9100 cans. I love me some beer and I am very talented at consuming it. I can't recall many days without alcohol. I stopped for about 20 days when I quit and ever so slowly got back into it.

You want to successful at no dip - you have to stop alcohol.

Sleep was hard to find the first week but I survived. I am now the proud owner of a 161 day quit borne nurtured, and strengthened by KTC.

Flush, read the welcome center, post roll,  honor your word. Are you a quitter yet?

Edit: we quit nicotine here. Day 1 starts when you quit putting it in your system. This includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes, hookahs, nic gum, patches, lozenges, vapes, and anal suppositories.
