"They say the fog has lifted by now as I'm on day four. It seems to have lifted but still struggling. Not struggling with a crave or cave but struggling mentally. I am so lethargic and depressed."

Stick with it. I had the fog for a long time and you might too but stay focused on your quit and understand your brain and body are recovering and this takes time.

Best wishes.

I have had lots of day 4s over the years but this one is different. The nic is going to die a slow death this time because I know it is forever. It's dragging me down hard!! I always win when I put my mind to it and right fuckin now I am so fuckin determined! Fuck you grizzly wintergreen!! I'm done!

This is your opportunity to save yourself from a lifetime of reaching for a can and a spitter 10 times a day so that you can pay somebody to kill you.

This isn't easy, but stick to your commitment ODAAT and you'll make it. Simple as that."

That's what Jzzyzag01 told me on my day 4 118 days ago. It was true then and its true now! Quit with you today. PM me if you need some contacts.

Agreed^^^. Forever is hard brother. The brain doesn't cope well with forever. It can get through a day a lot easier then eternity. Slow your roll, settle in and honor your word. Suck in that dignity your taking back today. Feel that freedom that now belongs to you. Quit with you today.
Listen to these guys. ODAAT is the key. Get through today. It will get better, I guarantee it. Stay committed. Quitting with you today.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

Thanks guys! I joined the august group and have posted roll and quit for the third day in a row today. 6 pm tonight will actually mark my day 3 victory as I begin day four! I have never had the mindset of quitting like I do now. I have had 2 people in my life had their esophagus removed due to cancer. That wasn't enough to make me quit, I quit about a year ago cause my GF didn't like it. That was the wrong reason. I have developed a new motto for myself.... I quit because I care. I care about me foremost and I care about the people that love me!!
Fellow newbie here, congrats on the day three victory. That's the way to do it, quitting for yourself, your health, and an improvement in your life. Before you know it, you'll be through day four.. you can do it man!!

White welcome to the wide world of quit. Pay attention to the advice you are getting, if you really want to quit for good this time take this shit seriously, like your life depends on it:

1 - quit for you and you alone, let everyone enjoy the luxury of your being around longer

2 - post roll daily here's How to Post Roll post with your quit group Pre HOF August 2014

3 - meet fellow quitters and exchange phone numbers, this will become more valuable to you than anything else

4 - get family buy in and support, here is one helpful document Spousal Support

5 - read the stories here

6 - focus on today only, never tomorrow, or in a week or anytime but today

7 - find an alternative and have that alternative with you at all times (fake dip, candy, lots of water)

P.S. The above underlined and Bold words are links to other places on this site (all safe).
