Enjoy the holiday nic free!
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Made it two weeks with this group. Heading into the holiday weekend feeling good. The worst triggers are the rides to and from work, it just feels like I need to do something. Bringing coffee so I have something to sip on. It will be nice to be with family and not have to step outside or start getting irritable because of the lack of nicotine. I still get minor irritations but nothing I can't talk myself through. The fog is starting to lift.

Day 12 - the weekend was tougher than I thought it would be. Lots triggers and waves of cravings. I just breath through it, many small periods of irritability but I try to keep my mouth shut and think before I say anything. Drinking lots of water and staying strong. The roll call is important to me, as a man of integrity, I never break my promise and don't make a promise if I can't keep it. I can keep my promise here each day.
Good job bro. Keep fighting hour by hour and minute by minute. It will get better soon. And then it will get great. It sounds like you are committed. That is good

9 days and hanging in there. It seems like the cravings just lay and wait to pounce. This morning I got gas and boom! Of course, this is usually how I would buy my dip. Typically 3 cans at a time because you get a discount for three. Also, the station has the cigarette, chew and e-cigarette signs everywhere. Here's another thing. After nine days when the cravings hit, it's not just for dip- it's for the nicotine. The nicotine bitch brings in thoughts of gum, lozenges, dip, e-cigs and cigarettes (and I don't even smoke, although I will confess to rare times when I couldn't dip and bummed a smoke to relieve the nicotine fit).

One week!!! Just taking it one day at a time and following this site. I find myself getting irritable at the smallest things and have to remind myself that this isn't me, it's my brain with no nicotine. Still the biggest triggers are getting into the car to go anywhere and after a meal. .

Day 6 and hanging in there. Still somewhat foggy and lethargic. I'm not going to give up on this.
I was foggier than most for awhile as well. Eventually it wears off and you can get back to a somewhat normal life. Hang hear and read, read, read. Continue to chug then water and you should be in a better place soon.

Day 4, lots of water helps. Amazing when and where the triggers will hit, didn't think so many things would be associated with dip.
When you've dipped for 20+ years EVERYTHING is a trigger! Even shit you never did before! HA

But, the water helps and I highly recommend some exercise as walking in the mornings seemed to help me alot. I'm on day 31 and after our cold snap here in Texas I didn't walk for about 3 days. I could feel the tension building. Went walking this morning and feel great. And I'm NOT the exercise type. I like sitting on the couch playing PS3!

All the advice you got here is good stuff, post your roll everyday and continue to read and soak up all the site has to offer. 30+ days in and I find new information and tools here daily. Congrats bro and welcome to the rest of your life!

Reach out if you need any digits.

The trick is to keep a full head of steam when the white patch goes away and your mouth heals. That's when it gets challenging and KTC becomes your lifeline. You need to realize that no matter how many numbers you rack up that nicotine will always be there waiting for you go back to your old ways and it will never leave. You'll always be an addict but you'll have your quit and enough weapons to use to defend it as long as you keep it up. Notice how many times I said "you" because this is for you by you with us.

Day 3, figured out the roll call and ready to embrace the quit
Day 3 can be hell brother, but the worst is almost over. I sent you my digits, use them if you need someone to scream at, I can take it. LIVE chat in the upper right hand corner can be a life saver as well.
