Good to see you post roll Matt. Now you are one of us. Time to get after quitting!
I want to thank each and every one of you that have taken the time to check up on me and or shoot me a note to encourage me. Monday at 3:30 pm was the last time I had any nicotine of any kind. Today was a rough day for me. But I didn't give in. When can I expect these Damn cravings after meals to start slowin down??? That's when it hurts the most!
It's different for everyone Matt. My guess is that it will take some time. Fixing many years of stupid doesn't happen in a few days. This is your punishment for every putting that crap in your mouth in the first place. Remember how you feel right now....never go back.

As far as the craves....arm yourself with seeds, gum, atomic fireballs, lots of water and some excessive. A big crave only lasts for a minute or two anyway.
Thanks, I'll try the fireballs. I've worn out some seeds and Wrigley gum.
Matt 4 days of quit is bad ass. Some relief is coming soon, take advantage of it while it lasts. Its a tough journey but totally worth it.

Remember

It'll suck until it doesn't and then it won't. It was right around 120 days when for the first time I could say it didn't suck, this is a race without an end. Just keep doing what you are doing One Day At A Time.

Proud of you sir!

Classic case of addict speak. Just read this little short thread. You're quit, you're a badass yeehaw! Except every now and then when your resolve weakens, just take a little sip of the ol nic bitchs teat. One won't hurt..................

Glad to see you come to your senses Matt. You ever have weak moments come and read this thread again. It should help!
Welcome Ohio Matt. Follow the advice of these lifegivers! They don't owe you a thing and yet they give their time and knowledge.
Get here and read/chat/learn daily.
There is no better way to beat the nic bitch daily than this site and all it offers.
The price of admission is "your" word daily to not use in any form.
Is is difficult? at first, yes. But, it gets wwwwwaaaaaaayyyyyyy better. Stick to your word and your days will stack up quickly.
We've all been where you are. We do it daily and so can You.
ODAAT = one day at a time
NAFAR = never again for any reason
1 problem + nic = 2 problems (courtesy of sir scowick)
Lot's of powerful tools here. Gather them and win daily.
Keeping my jaw and tongue...I like them.
It's poison I tell ya, You wouldn't drink Liquid Drano, would ya?
