Today is the 8th day. 42 years of Skoal original fine cut. I just found this website yesterday and I'm glad I did. I don't trust myself to quit, though I'm trying to remind myself that I have already quit, I'm not still quitting. It's just that I've tried this before, and always failed. It's rough, I want to dip. But I'm trying one day at a time

Well I am on day 23 of my quit and I just wanted to say to the guests viewing this who are thinking about quitting " Don't psych yourself out from the start by thinking it's too hard to quit". IT'S NOT TOO HARD TO QUIT!!!! Knock on wood... My quit has not been similar to other quits on these boards and I am thankful for that. My quit has only involved minor fog and minor cravings which I have been able to get through by keeping myself busy and not fucking focusing on it. I am just saying this to let you know that everyone is different...Don't try to tell me that you were created in a way that gives you no other option but to let a little cancerous dirt filled can run your life...you are way better than that , all of us are better than that...I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH HOW THIS SITE AND THE PEOPLE ON THIS SITE ARE THE KEY TO STAYING QUIT....join your group, get some numbers and utilize the people on this site....they take this quitting shit very seriously and I am thankful for that..also do more than just post roll, post any thought that pops into your head because it may help others with their quit.....I get little gold nuggets from this site every day.....MAN UP AND QUIT...DEEP DOWN YOU KNOW YOU SHOULD ..OR ARE YOU ON THE SAME LEVEL AS THOSE YOUTUBE DIPSHITS POSTING VIDEOS OF HOW MUCH OF THIS SHIT THEY CAN SHOVE IN THEIR FACE AT ONCE......just quit it's that simple,it really is

I think we all need to truly truly believe that this shit causes cancer. I never tried to convince myself of that. If I 100% believe this stuff is cancerous how could this shit ever touch my lip again. Side note : now I know what my dad meant when he called me a "dip"shit
Keep this in mind too.
Chicks don't dig dudes with half jaws.
Just saying.
Have you ever:
-left a family or group get together to get a fix?
-stayed up late to get a fix when everyone was asleep?
-run out and made a frantic midnight run to buy more?
-hid this from a coworker or friend?

We all have. Quitting is great from a money and health perspective. But the freedom of not having to participate in the above nonsense any more is priceless. Welcome aboard. What you are feeling is not the new normal. You are really gonna like where you are headed. One day at a time. Just worry about today.

Been dipping for 23yrs now. A tin used to last me a week and I would think that's not bad. Now a tin only last a day. I can't take the look of disappointment on my daughters faces when I pack a lip. I have always known it was not the smartest thing to do but somehow it made activities more enjoyable. Something tells me I will still be able to fish and golf without it. My quit started on Sunday and tonight at 10 will be 4 days. I feel I have been cheating though because I had surgery in my mouth done on Mondays so the pain right now is making it easier to quit. So I've got 4 days under my belt why not 5. This is a great site by the way. There is a ton of beneficial stuff here and I really appreciate ut
Congrats on the quit! An addict for 23 years, think about that. I am an addict of over 30 years. if we could have saved the money we have spent over those years, we could have went out and bought a Bass boat with cash, but yet we stuck that dirt in out lip get a fix....and yes, you will still be able to fish and golf without dip, but those will be the most trying times.
You can do this.
I quit with you today

Welcome to freedom brother! Make your promise not to use on roll early, every day. Get some tools ready...seeds, gum, mints, water, whatever it takes to get you through the cravings. They'll come, but they'll go away as long as you have your tools at the ready. Rely on your quit brothers and stay active. We're all in this together.

By the way....it's not the nic that made your activities (fishing/golf) enjoyable...it's simply the activity itself. I used to have the same addict think, but now I have to tell you....playing golf, fishing with my kids is sooooo much more enjoyable now without that poison in my mouth, not to mention I'm setting a much better example for my kids. You've got this....get engaged in your quit group and get it done EDD! Freedom is a great feeling...

NDITL, Welcome! Looks like you found your group. Now, you just gotta figure out how to get your name and your days quit in the right spot. It took me a couple weeks to fight through the fog and figure out the copypasta stuff so don't let that be an excuse.

That isn't cheating. I consider it motivation. Use it as a guide. Now get on over and post roll. We will show you how.
