One week down! Just wanted to post on how the last 7 days have been. The fog has been crazy thick. You hear about the fog all over KTC but once you're in it you'll find that the effects of the fog can hit you in different ways. The fog has ripped me a new one. Not trying to sounds like a wimp or anything but emotionally it's taken it's tole. I've seen a few guys talk about dip or nicotine as a mistress or lover. Now i love my wife very much but lets be honest i've loved dip a few years longer than my wife...So breaking up with dip was hard. Day one the anxiety of the fog hit hard. You can't hardly see straight and i couldn't remember who i was without dip. The whole idea of living without it freaked me out.

i was able to chill out a little bit after a few days. I think it was the thought that even though i couldn't see very well in the fog i knew i wasn't alone. There were men and women around who knew what i was going through. I couldn't see them but i could hear their voices cheering me on. Everyday i feel like the voices get louder and louder. I'm not as afraid of the fog anymore. Yes, there are days that i just sit at my desk and wonder what i'm supposed to be doing. Yes, thoughts like that piss me off cause i've always prided my self in my work ethic and ability to get stuff done. But i know that the fog can't last forever. I know that i'm not the only one in it either. That comforts me after my first week. That gives me confidence to keep walking forward. As long as the voices keep getting louder i know i'm heading in the right direction. The alternative freaks me out too much to turn back! So here's looking to another day in a different week.

Day 6

I woke today with some hard core cravings. The baby woke me up earlier than usual which triggered the desire to "get to work a little early" aka take the long way to work for a few more minutes of dip time...my jaw is stiff and sore from clenching it all day. I'm tired of drinking water all the time and having to kiss every 15 minutes. I barely had the clarity of mind to post roll and this this morning but I needed to get this out there. I have a feeling today going to be hard. I'm already irritable and the day hasn't hardly started yet. Well sorry this isn't more uplifting but it's real and hopefully it'll make me stronger tomorrow but for today it sux...
Hey my friend and can almost guarantee you that you will act like a douche bag and your wife's gonna wonder what the hell is going on. So take your medicine and tell her. May be the best support you get. As far as the fog mine was so bad I did forget to post on day 2 keep me from being a 100 percent but that's OK I'm a free man and it's awesome! It gets easier just hang on! Damn proud to be quit with you today my brother!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Day three is done with! It was a long day at home. I usually get cabin fever and then make up some lame excuse to go and dip but not today. Actually got out and mowed the lawn and did some other errands without caving so I'll take that as a short term win. I talked to my wife about KTC during our date night and showed her the spouts support page. Any of you guys got any advice on spousal support? No problems yet but there was a lot lying and hiding my addiction and I'm afraid of sharing too much too soon about my addiction and her getting pissed off about it all over again...
Just be totally honest with her. Tell her what a lying sneaky shithead you were. Tell her it's over now and you found the path to quit. Tell her you need her support. I'm sure she'll understand and be supportive if you are honest. That's a big part of this you finally get to become an honorable man. Embrace it, it feels good. Heal your body and heal your soul. Post roll every morning. It is your daily medicine.
What grizz said. All we have is our word. Be honest and take what she gives, in the end you will come out a winner! Freedom is awesome! I quit with you today my brother!
Some great advice up here ^^^^^. Maybe the best thing about being quit, is being able to be honest again. My addiction made me a miserable lying douche to my wife. No way should quitting also be something to be kept secret.

I posted this in another intro this morning but it applies to you as well. You seem to have your mind in the right state to be successful. Remember that you will feel better soon and the days DO get easier.

The next couple weeks are gonna suck. You will have good moments mixed in also. You are in a fight for your life, and the reward of posting roll and honoring your word to stay quit for one day at a time is FREEDOM. It gets better and down right good a lot faster then you may think. At first you may have to live hour by hour in order to stay quit, but eventually your gonna gain pride in your quit and that will carry you through a lot. This is truly the greatest choice you have ever made. Read all you can, KTC has a lot of wisdom to find in these halls. Quit with you today!

Day one is officially in the books! I quit yesterday at noon (easy time to remember I guess). It's been an alright day so far. I got pretty overwhelmed last night (baby screaming, wife just got her wisdom teeth out, and mother-in-law is in town...haha someone remind that quitting is wotth it...) I got out of the house and went and saw a movie both of which are usual arenas for dipping. I made it through the drive to the theatre, the sitting in the parking lot for an hour waiting for my movie to start, through movie itself, and then the drive home. This prior to noon yesterday would have seemed impossible to me. But there's something about posting and reading others posts that helped keep me clean. Yeah it occupied me time while I sat and waited for the movie but I think most of all there's a strong desire in me to want to post my frustrations and successes with integrity and transparency. I don't want to bullshit around here. Anything less than complete commitment wouldn't be fair to the rest of you. Thankful for this website. Thankful for the support.

Way to go brother. Quitting isn't easy, but neither are the things you had to do for the Big Green Giant. You've proven how tough you can be when others are making you do it, and watching you. Now, it's time to prove how tough you are when you're doing it for yourself, and nobody is watching.
Zero day: 22 June 2015.
Quit date: Today.

You have got to rid your body of the toxins the nic bitch brings with her. Then recover from not having her boil in your blood. That will probably be a good week. Read everything you can on here, click the links in my signature line. Those links are for you. It was hard on us too, but you can do it. You have too many good reasons to quit listed! We're kicking this bitches ass every day. Come to your intro and post any concerns you have, we'll answer as quick as we can.

Hell yeah! Well spoken! Now grab you ass and hold on for the ride. The first few days suck ass, muscle through a week and things get way better. PM me for support or whatever. Post roll daily, that's very important.

I'll say this. Its hard to quit with NON-Dippers, like our wives and family they just don't get it.
And I'm thankful they don't understand the suck we go through being addicts.
This is your quit.... Not theirs, they have not walked in your shoes with Nicotine.

The people here at KTC HAVE and many walked further than you. And WE Get IT.....

Spend a lot of time here early in you quit and learn, read, rage and express your quit with US.
You will, and can learn to handle stress, without a CHEMICAL.
Your family will be the recipient of your great decision and daily integrity one day down the road.

I quit with you today... Just one day at a time(ODAAT)

Appreciate your service.

Thanks for the encouragement! I've been quit since 12:00 pm today so here's to 4 hours nic free! One day at a time sounds great but I may need hour to hour for a while...
Welcome aboard, bro! This is a decision you'll be really happy about. Also, you're absolutely right. Quit one hour at a time. One minute at a time. Hell, quit one second at a time if it comes to that. But just know you don't have to do it alone! I and everyone else on the site are here for you.
