Just wanted to tell everybody that my second day is going well... Slept like shit (with wierd ass nightmares) last night and have the shits, but no monster cravings that smokey mountain can't take care of. Taking it day by day! Thanks all!
Glad to see you posting in your introduction.
Even just throwing in a quick note in here daily can help your quit too.
Hit me up if you ever need anything. Keep quit brother, some day may be more difficult than others, but I promise you, you will never regret quitting.

Hwkeye, you've got a good quit started here. Continue to read and learn. Knowledge, hatred of the nic whore and getting involved here is the magic combination to stay quit.
Let me know if you need anything. Just shoot me a PM or text.
Quit on my friend.
Thanks! All is going well here... A little tired and a little headache but so far so good!

You're a lucky man. Most people have the opposite problem and can shit right for weeks.
I wouldn't necessarily call it "right" it's like I'm stopped up cramping and have diarrhea at the same time LOL
I just got off the toilet not five minutes ago. I read Backpacker Magazine until my legs fell asleep. Still nothing but misfires and false starts, and I'm on day 101. I would like to tell you it gets better, but I'm starting to wonder myself. :'(

Mind you, I would rather store a year's worth of turds in my bowels than ever put one in my lip again. Just saying.
Best of luck to you bowels... Hope it gets better my friend!

Hello,

My name is Justin and this is my first day dip free. After taking a dip last night, I decided that I was done. I threw away two cans of Griz and was just finished with it. I have dipped for just over a year... not a long time comparatively, but enough time to get the nic bitch on my back. There are many reasons I want to quit, but mainly it is for myself. I also have a toddler. The other day he grabbed my can of dip off my dresser and brought it to me saying "Daddy this is yours"... I don't want to set that kind of example. I tried to quit a couple times before, but caved. This time is going to be different. I am typing this with a lip full of sunflower seeds, I am determined and ready to get this shit done.

I have been 14 hours without a dip now, and I have a little bit of a headache. When I got in my car this morning to come to work, I reached for my dip can that wasn't there and had a good chuckle at the mindless habit that I am a slave to... I am going to pick up some Smokey Mountian chew after work, but until then the sunflower seeds seem to be working well.

I look forward to this journey with you all!

Thanks!

Oh and where do I go to do "roll call"?
topic/10564902/423/ here. Would you say you are a nicotine addict?
This is awesome! Dipping just over a year and you are ready to quit! I wish I was as smart as you are right now 30 years ago. This is absolutely the right thing you are doing without a doubt!

Post roll everyday, build some accountability and help those coming behind you. Bring it!
Sweet! Thanks for the support!
I second what SFGE said, quitting after a year is brilliant compared to my 17 years of slavery. And you just squeezed into January to boot! Get some quitters numbers, and Quit Like Fuck today.
I estimated that over a twenty year period, I spent 20 grand plus on Copenhagen. Imagine if I would have put an extra 20 bucks a week over that timeframe into my retirement accounts instead of paying for a slow death? I must say I'm impressed that you are owning up to your addiction after a year or so. I will be more impressed if you post roll EDD and buy in to what goes on here. It works. Hang in there the next few days. It has a tendency to get rough. PM me if you need anything.
Thanks DH! I am ready to do this!! cowboy
