I'm new to the forum so here is a little about me. I have been using smokeless tobacco since 1995. I used just about every can they had in my area ( Gold River, Redwood, Silver Creek, Skoal, Cope, Kodiak, Grizzly, etc.) I recently turned 38 and told myself and my wife I don't want to do this sh$t anymore. I tried to quit before but caved after three months. I am open to using the alternatives and tried a few. I have been dip free for about 10 days now. The cravings are there and have had insomnia lately. Getting through this I WILL see to the end this time. I am glad to see there are others out there either going through this or have done this for a while. Anyone who has suggestions for alternatives they like, I'm listening and advice is welcome. Thank You. 'oh yeah'
Great idea... Quiting. Congrats.
What alternatives are you using now?
Just quit One Day at a time.
You can do it this time DDave.
Post roll.
Make a promise every day.
I quit with you.
When you post roll you will notice most of us have something after out names. Mine is Just for today, Self. That is my Mantra to keep movin on. With that, my promise to myself and the group, I have a lot of people I could disappoint. So. it helps and the daily promise is integral.
Glad to have you aboard DD. Post roll early, every damn day and you will be successful! I quit with you today!
Welcome Dave, congrats on getting through Day 10 by yourself. That in and of itself is no small feat. Do yourself a favor and make the act of posting roll as common as waking up every day and taking a piss first thing in the morning. It's a must and it needs to be routine. A way of life. That promise is bigger than anything. It's a promise to yourself and your quit brothers that you will be quit for that day. In my 2+ years of quit, I've never missed a day because I owe that to myself and many others.

Lastly, there is no end. This is merely the beginning of a new life of freedom.
