Post roll. Honor your word.

That is it. If you commit to posting roll the first minute after midnight that you are awake, and you are a man of your word... You can do this. You had some world class bad asses reach out to you in an attempt to get you to keep posting, and honor your word. Posting roll isn't something you do on Thursdays and Sundays only. It isn't something you do only on leap year. You don't take the day off for a root canal or a lobster dinner.

We post roll every damn day. We keep our word. Look bud... There were days in the beginning that I wanted to curl up in a corner and cry. The first few days were utter misery. But you know what... I gave my brothers (and sister) of April 2013 my word and by god I don't break my word.

Tough times never last. Tough people do.

What do you say? Do you want to quit?
Hello Sheriff.

You were last on KTC last night around 11pm. How goes today's quit?

I cannot stress the importance of the formula I outlined for you enough. You have a lot of years of failure at quitting in your past. You have a chance to make it work this time. The ball is in your court. Post roll (EARLY). Keep your word.

Nothing else works. And you know it.
Are you really that unwilling to help yourself? You going to keep sticking that shit in your mouth until when? Till the tongue gets cut out of your head? Or you are breathing through a straw... or they take the bone saw out to remove the jawbone and leave you with no chin? For what? So you can suck on some poison laced weed that makes you gag on your own spit?

My question is this: If you don't quit today, then when?

For once be a man of your word, post roll and get this done. Fair warning though. this time better be for real. no more practice runs. Don't shit on another group of quitters. Expect to be given hell, and learn some humility and for the love of everything sacred - get some integrity. Without that you are wasting our time. your word better mean something- or else go away.

how many times you gonna play Russian roulette?

ferfucksake. Quit here. Cave somewhere else. your choice.

Sheriff,
Well since I was one of the first to reach out to you and offer support I took the time and read through everything in your intro today, checked on your posting percentage and damn man. I sure as fuck hope if you really quit this time that you actually get into the water in lieu of just dipping a damn toe in it. Any excuse you could give is all addict babble bullshit. As a lawman and a father you should be a role model, step the fuck up and do it this time. Life is going to happen and will continue no matter the circumstance. During my quit I have had several things happen that made me contemplate "just one, just for a minute" but the difference between you and I is that I didn't give into temptation.

Sure people are going to be hard on you but that is because all of us want the same outcome, you being quit. If you really want it this time, then answer these three questions and don't answer them for any of us, answer them for your own edification and understanding. You owe it to your old, group, your new group and all of your voluntary supporters. I stand beside you still as I want to see you quit, and in this battle against nicotine no one gets left behind.

1. What happened?

2. Why did it happen?

3. What are you going to do differently this time?
Either you are pregnant or your not, all in or not, how ever you want to look at it. Quit using your head as a supository and keep the shit out of your pie hole. If you can't do that, move along.
Two lines from your "welcome back" speech stand out:

1) "a fresh can, four days no sleep.....all the right excuses for me to jump back on board."

2) "And I will do it again and again if I have to until this shit is over."

Pretty much sounds like dipping is a pleasant little hobby for you. That there's always the "right excuse" to have a lipper and, when you're feeling a little guilty about yourself, you stop for a little while, and maybe even post roll a couple times a week until the next "right excuse" presents itself. Rinse, wash, repeat.

Give me a fucking break.

Answer the three questions, otherwise spare the rest of us the bullshit.

Anytime I've seen a guy over a hundred days cave...seems like they hadn't been posting roll.
It's so goddamn clear. Obvious.
We are herd animals us addicts. We have it stick together. The lion is out there man and she wants to eat your face. If you stop posting roll you are more likely to cave. If you cave you are more likely to die.
I don't want to post roll every day. I want to pretend I'm not an addict. I want to live like everyone else. But I'm not everyone else. I'm an addict. The only thing that stops me from running to that can is my promise that just for one day I won't use tobacco.
You stopped making that promise and she caught you. The lion has you.
Have you thought that the one single dip you took when you first caved may have been the one that caused the cancer to metastasize in your jaw? It may be growing there even now. Or it just might be the next one.
Quit. Get the fuck back in the herd and post roll. Give me your goddam Promise.

You were a March 14 Iron Man. You should have called one of us. I won't blast you. I don't have the heart for it today. I just want you quit before that bitch eats your face.

This is very disappointing to see this. We had the exact same quit date. We entered the HOF on the same day. You should be posting a 238 today and instead are posting a day 1? If you are even posting... I am not interested in hearing bad excuses. Please don't post anything in the March 14 thread. I don't want 3 questions. That is where badasses ONLY are accepted. We have a solid group and damn good supporters and don't accept weakness.

Thanks

I agree entirely with Starr. Don't post any excuses in March. You walked away from us  we had to accept that. That probably sounds angrier than it is. I'm disappointed, not pissed.

Learn from your mistakes. You caved because you hadn't made a promise to quit that day. Start over  post roll every damn day, that's the only way this works.

Sheriff - In your original 2013 intro, you talked about having your man card taken away if the LE community found you were getting support to stop dipping. Not sure if that is still an issue for you. You need to break free and stop caring about what others think and focus your energies on being quit for good, not just stopped for another brief 200 day interlude. Tell all you deputies you are quit and you will need their support. Tell the DA, the judges. The bigger a web of accountability you weave, the greater your chance of success. Do you think the Fed would've thrown that can on the table if he had known you were a committed 200 day quitter? Likely not. I'm guessing you're in your 40s, maybe early 50s. Dipping is not a life extension strategy and you have the potential for many good years left. Weave a very large web and be quit for good. And post roll EDD, even on day 201. If you get to the point where you're not posting, bad things happen. I'm sure you don't want to show up here a third time with your tail between your legs.
Man card? You know what's fucking manly? Quitting. Keeping your word. Not making up pussy ass excuses to be weak.
We've got other longtime badasses from the same neck of the woods as you. Dip-free and "man card" fully intact (whatever that is, anyway). Furthermore, why don't you show all of your buddies the support being tendered to you right now. I guarantee the fact that you caved after 200 days will make a far greater impression than a bunch of people from a website calling you out on the carpet.

Own your quit and post roll. Every damn day.

Sherriff, you got a "who's who" of some of the most badass quitters the KTC has to offer posting on your intro, the question is are you going to show up and show them what you have?
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.
