Yo Yawnny, are you going to join us in posting roll today? It is a daily promise that we will not use nicotine for 24 hours. It is the backbone of our quit, please join us.

Hey Yawney,
As a real doctor (veterinarian) I feel your pain although none of my patients chew or smoke...there too smart. We should know better...well at least you should. Actually everyone knows better. We just have to quit listening to that nic bitch lying to us. Not gonna lie...this will suck until it doesn't. But anything worth doing is difficult...like med school.
Remember that you can do anything without nic that you can do with it and that the cravings will pass without nic just like they do with it. Only with it there will always be more. Enjoy your new freedom and now that your quit you can be a self-righteous prick to your patients that use...ahhh, the moral high ground. Let me know if you need anything...like help with a diagnosis :D

I just put in a prayer for you and asked God to keep the poison weed from jumping off its place on the rack of death at your local c-store, and to keep the can of poison from rolling out the parking lot and down the street to your dwelling place. If that should fail I prayed to God to keep the poison from finding entry into your abode, cutting itself open, and leaping from the can to pack itself into your gob... Only way that the poison will get into your face is if you choose to put it there...

Read everything here. I assume you know all about the dangers of nicotine use, and probably a good deal about addiction, but start with the welcome center and keep going anyway. Learn the KTC quit plan, and then live the plan. The plan works! PM me if you need a # or anything. You can do this.

Hey buddy.

Welcome to the suck that is the fog. Listen, there are so many people here that will be able to help you save your life. Post roll to make that promise to yourself and to all of us. Then, reach up and grab any hand before you for that help.

Gotta post roll, otherwise it's just talk.

There is no luck. There is no try. There is only DO. You can DO this. Quit NOW. You do not need it. Pray if you would like, but God cannot keep the poison out of your mouth. Only you can. Do you want to be quit. You can DO this. We can help. Post roll and get in chat. Others are going through the very same thing right now. Find some partners.

I am on day 2, and I am so buried in fog it's painfull. I have dipped for 9 years. I have made many changes in my life up to this point but chew has by far been one of the most difficult things I have ever done. I am a 3rd year medical student. I have recently started my clerkships. I ask every patient about their tobacco use. I have discussed quitting with many people and I feel like a giant hypocrite. It is finally time for me to step up and do it for myself.
Pray for me I am going to need it!!!
You got this bud, just interact, and READ!!! Besides the good ol posting roll, reading and filling the ol bucket is HUGE!!! During lunch, breakfast and before bed, when and where ever you can!!

not going to pray, but what I will do is be here to stand right beside you while you go through this. I am just a PM away.

you can do this as tobacco does nothing for you. And without it you will and can be so much better so hang tough.
welcome Yanney - recognizing that its time to quit is key. I'm @ day 39 after 34 f...ing years...not easy pal, but it was time to man up. It helped me to focus on 24 hour at a time. Take it hour by hour if needed - but hang tough...it gets better each day. Drink as much water as possible and exercise (walking helps to clear your head). I'm chewing on a plastic straw as I type this...but lets do this. I totally understand the hypocrite thing. I taught Physical Ed and HEALTH for 15 years telling kids about the dangers, then slipping back to my office after class to put in a chew...what an ass I was. SirDerek has helped me alot along this journey...we are both only a PM away.
