Nothing you will do today is more important than staying quit. Focus on that, the rest will take care of itself.

Great choice. Welcome to the site.

Hello

I am 41 and I have been dipping since I was 10 or 11 and I actually quit for 6 years but pressure and stress of a new job and the need to feel accepted in the new job made me re-sell my soul and health. I can never regain those days but I can make new ones without dip. I just ordered a mint sampler and that is how I quit last time so I figure if it worked once it can work again, and this time I have more self esteem and less of a need to be "One of the guy" I just wanted to tell someone the truth and it it feels damn good.  ;)

Be seeing ya!

Hi KB. Welcome to your quit.

I think I know what you mean when you say that tough circumstances "made" you start dipping again, but you'll help yourself if you get picky about that kind of talk, and look at it as failure to take responsibility for your own actions. It's just not the way a quitter talks. Nothing can shove that manure in your yap but you, right?

Speaking from my own experience, I also wouldn't call your 6 year hiatus a "quit". You have a pattern of use that includes long periods of abstinence. You're last "quit" was a failure. You're here to put an end to that, I believe.

I have all kinds of respect for your decision.

We'll be watching for you in the June quit group. Post roll every day. That's your promise not to use today. Keep your word. I'm quitting with you.
