And Eli3 once you get through 'The Suck' you'll have more confidence than you ever thought you would. I (and my brothers/sisters here) have done something that a lot of people can't do because they're afraid. It's helped me in my normal day-to-day and a lot of things that used to bother me don't anymore.

Post roll and get some phone #'s to get you through. If you need mine just PM me. My 30th day free is tomorrow!

Rook
And you never once paid for drugs...NOT ONCE!

Today is day one. Been dipping for around 10 years, starting with Skoal for about 2, and the past 8 or so years has been Timberwolf straight using a can a day. Its just time I quit this crap. I have some herbal chew to try and help, but the few times I've used that today has totally sucked. Nothing like a good dip.

Don't know if its me just thinking about it too much, or if something is actually affecting me, but I feel anxious, a little wound-up. Can't concentrate at work. I usually would have had about 4-5 dips by now, and still can't stop thinking about it.

But I will quit. I won't use again.

Congratulations, my friend.

Accept the truth that you can have control of your life if you work at it.
Accept the truth that you will suffer for a while. We call it "The Suck"
Accept that you will need to have the help of your group somewhere along the way.
Accept that your habit is deeply engrained in your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes. It will take time to change.
Accept that cravings are temporary. Distract yourself, use fake chew, gum, seeds and after a few minutes they go away.

Get involved with others and their quits. It helps you and them.

PM me when you need something. I got your back.
Stay Quit

Welcome... You can do it..... Stay AWAY from caffeine this week if you're already feeling anxious.... And put your helmet on and kick it's ass = you vs. nic bitch for control of your life
Hang in there Ely, the concentration and the anxiety are all normal and will subside. That is the poison working its way out of your system. Take a walk, take a breath, you'll be fine. Craves can't hurt you, just relax and let them pass. Try to keep your blood sugar level stable , cranberry juice is good for that. Go to Cancer and quitter stories and just start reading. Start with the Tom and Jenny Kern Story. Keep reading until you find something you can latch onto for today.

You don't need to worry about tomorrow or even an hour from now, just focus on the next few minutes. You don't have to quit forever, just quit for right now.

Nothing like a good dip
There is no such thing as a good dip. I bet it would sound stupid to you if you heard somebody say. Nothing like a good needle full of heroin. That is a addict rationalization. The only thing dip is good for is getting rid of the withdrawl symptoms caused by dipping. Note that you never had withdrawls before you started dipping. Dip is "good" for keeping you addicted to dip and that is it.

It doesn't relieve stress
It won't calm you down
It doesn't help you deal
It isnt your friend

Hang tough

those are all common withdrawl symptoms and NOTHING different than any of us has experienced. there is no such thing as a good dip. Dip sucks. And dip is for faggot nicotine losers. you can do this.

go post roll in March like the other guy told you to do. start reading EVERYTHING on here. will get some great information about withdrawl symptoms, what to expect, how to cure craves, why we post roll, accountability, etc.

I've dipped enough to be satisfied for a life time, done with it... I killed the bear... hate that scumbag. 02/27/09@ 10pm was my last taste!!!!

Good choice budy! Hang in there the first week will be really tough. I got sick from the withdrawals it was like a real bad hangover for me that lasted about 2 days. Once you get through that it becomes a mind game. Hang in there you can do this!!
