Thanks everyone for the advice. Almost through day 1, it was ROUGH. But I'm ready to wake up tomorrow and go after day 2
That's the spirit. See you tomorrow for one day further removed from slavery.

Thanks for the support guys. What's your recommendation on the fake dip?

Should I stay away from it for as long as I can (use gum, seeds, etc.).... Or go ahead and get some now?

Cravings are setting in after lunch break.
Welcome to KTC great job posting roll as for the Fake you have to decide if that's the right path for you. I use it and it has worked well for me, but not everyone has the same feeling. Here is the rule do whatever you have to do to keep the real dip out of you lip!! I quit with you today!!
201 days later still use fake from time to time. Saved my ass several times. Definitely slacked way off maybe a can a week. Stay strong to your promise and quit on!
Fake shit saved my ass a few times. Just having something in my lip helped with the oral fixation, now I really don't care for it. Stay strong and stay quit and I quit with today.
Yes to everything--gum, seeds, candy, fake dip. I used fake dip off and on for the first few months. Now it's just gum and seeds (for long drives). In TX the walmarts and HEBs often have smokey mountain where they keep the real dip.
I was a ninja dipper and did not want to lie about using fake dip just like I lied about using real dip. So I stayed away from the fake. I carried a bag of wintergreen lifesavers with me everywhere and started working out like a fiend. Do what you have to do to alleviate the oral habit while staying quit, and stay off alcohol for a good long while.

Welcome. Good choice to quit and even better choice to use a support system.

Everyone feels differently about the fake shit. I have used it twice. My advice get some, use it when you have a crave. If it works, get more....if not, find another way to fight your craves.

Found this site yesterday and decided I was finally going to do this. Been dipping ever since I picked it up at 19, now 26.

So glad I found this site and excited to make this quit a reality.
Nice job posting roll today Charlie. Keep that promise you made to yourself and our group today, no matter what it takes. You will do this and we will be right there next to you if you're about to falter. I quit with you today.
