mpcpe - 34 years of dipping??? That is a long time. I just saw you posted day 2 - Great job. Are you just starting your day? Post first thing every day. Get on this sight and read. If you post and run your chances of making it, especially these first days, are slim. Read as much as you can on this site and learn how addicts act so you can defend your self from the nic bitch trying to get in your head.

Thank you guys. I got rid of all the cans and got some mint stuff. I am quitting today.
Excellent. Make sure it's all flushed, we don't want any dumpster diving tonight. And go post day 1 in the April 2015 quit group.
Great decision. Now Post roll!
Fake, gum, candy, tea bag or seeds. Get a lot of whatever helps (in my opinion some of each) put in car, house, work, golf bag, shop, etc. so you have quit defense.
And remember this is your QUIT, own it and invest in it each day!
Proud to quit with you, see you on roll!!

Holy cow Mike, you are getting support from brand new quitters who don't even have a month in, how is that for badassery?

I had roughly 100-200 "next Fridays" in 17 years of dipping. It took this site and some brothers hitting me with quit logic and tough love to realize there is no "next Friday", just "NOW". Do it, and never look back.
^^^^^ YES ^^^^^

Addicts are liars...and we're really good at it. I used to make myself feel better about quitting because I could tell myself that it was "okay to dip now because I was quitting next week anyway, right?!!!"

HOLY SHIT!!! Worst part...I believed my own dumbass lies?!!! Think how stooopid that is. That is like a magician entertaining himself with his own stupid tricks. Yep, that's my card...how did I know which one was mine? Duh?!!!

There are lots of ways to quit...the right way, and all of the wrong ways. White knuckle, constipation, no sleep, anxiety, nervous cold turkey is the right way. The rest is like the bullshit you're telling yourself about quitting in the future. Do it now. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
Every quitter here used to say exactly what you said.... Next week, next month, tomorrow. That is all BS... you are lying to yourself and to us.

We were all afraid of what we would be missing with no dip in our lives.

Once you quit, you realize that your life was absolutely controlled by dip and you really were not living life.

What do I miss about dip... not a damn thing!

There is a better life on the quitter's side. Trust us. You just need to follow our lead and quit it now. Anything else is just weak!
There is no magical day but the day we are given today. Dump your shit, post a Day 1, and let's get started, I, like many here, planned a quit date. I was fortunate to have a group of quitters push me forward and quit right then and there...nearly four years ago.

Let's do this...we quit together.
How 'bout this... What if, between now and the "next Friday", you take that ONE dip that changes everything from healthy to cancerous?

Stop playing roulette and do this now.

Now is truly badass.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

Hello to all. I,m glad I found this site. I am going to guit next Friday. I have been dipping for about 34 years. I've spent a lot of money an grossed out my wife. I'm tired of this can beating my ass. I've tried to quit several times only to start over again. I want this time to be the last time. Your help and support will be very welcome. Thank you, Mike
So is it going to be Friday 1/2 or Friday 1/9? I always get confused on which one is actually "next" when someone says "next Friday". "This Friday" would be slightly better. Actually "right now" would be best. Just looking for some clarification so we can know when to expect your arrival. Either way enjoy continuing to poison yourself with that shit until you actually get your ass in here to quit. BTW, we want to see you quit right now, not next Friday. What on Earth are you waiting for?
