Just wondering what part of this thread is an example of accountability, brotherhood or success??
78 posts in over a year's period of time shows me nothing but a lone wolf.

Wow - this entire thread is proof that this system works! It is great to see the pain and struggle at the beginning, the strong support by veterans cheering you on, and an update of your success. Thank you for sharing, and congratulations on your first of many new birthdays.

Congrats on the year!
Mr. Skoal, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That is how quitting is done...one day at a time. Every person posting roll with you today did a ton of stupid shit in the past. But what's done is done. You can't do anything about it, so forget it. And the future isn't here yet...so don't think about that either. Don't ever worry about shit you can't control. Just focus on what you can...the present...right now...this minute. Then commit everything you have to staying quit right now.

When you break it down like that, you see that you really can do this. You gave your word you wouldn't use nic TODAY. We are counting on you to keep your word. We're not saying you can never dip again. And you didn't swear you wouldn't ever dip again. But, you did give our word that you wouldn't use nicotine today. And, we are counting on you to keep your word!!!

Then, we all wake up tomorrow and do it all over again...and again...and...

Embrace the suck...take pride in weathering the suck. It is a privilege reserved for bad-ass quitters. You GET to feel this crappy...and that is a great thing!!! Stay strong and stay quit, brother.

Congrats on Day 2!!! What you're feeling is recovery, freedom, healing...embrace it!!! The Nic Bitch doesn't give up her victims just for the asking. You've got to earn your freedom. But here's the cool part...look at roll call, not just August '12, but all of those quit groups...all of those people you see there are bad-ass quitters...like yourself. Pretty cool, huh?

See, nobody gets out for free. It doesn't matter where you're from or who your daddy is. It doesn't matter who you know or how much money you have. Nobody can write you a note, or do this for you. Pills, patches are for pussies. There are no short-cuts...so don't look for one. Every bad-ass quitter you saw in the rolls has been right where you are right now. And every last one of them has your back right now.

So embrace the suck...really take note of how "great" you feel. Welcome to your new life, brother!!! You can do this!!!

Day 2, and it's tough today. I can't focus on anything for longer than 10 minutes. Have this weird anxious feeling, i can't describe it, but it sucks today.

Stickin to this quit, won't back down. I have a great support group here, at work and at home. I will keep with the quit!
You can do it, I promise. One day (sometimes minutes) at a time. balls to the wall, you're a badass quitter and you know it.

Today is day 1 of my quit! I have chewed for all of my adult life (i am 32 years old), and never really put a true effort into quitting, but i will quit, i am committed to quit and i will need this awesome website to help me quit.

I haven't had a dip since last night before bed and i decided yesterday that it was over, so i picked up, went to the store, bought some gum and seeds, had my final chew last night and started the quit fresh this morning.

I have found every excuse in the book not to quit: i can't do it then because i am going on a trip, no that won't work i have a busy work schedule, nope that definitely won't work it's during the holidays. Well, today and forever i will quit! I am determined to quit and i can't wait to prove to myself that i have the discipline to do this.

If i can do this, i can do anything i set my mind to.

Today begins a new life withOUT nicotine.
Awesome decision, glad to have you here!
You CAN stay quit, just take it one day at a time.

If you need anything, we are all here to help each other stay quit. This is going to suck for a while so take all the support you can get!

Happy to be quit with you today!
