Thanks a lot! Made it through another work day without it!
Jason congrats on making it through the workday! That's huge! Learn to celebrate small victories times when you'd normally dip but didn't. These small battles will add up to big gains in the war on quitting. Post roll this morning and let's do it again!

Jason welcome aboard. Just because you are using this site doesn't mean quitting is going to be any easier this time as it was last time. You are going to fight off one crave after crave. Dig down deep and do it once and be done with dipping. What this site does provide is a new way of looking at quitting (taking it one day at a time), and a whole lot more accountability to stay quit. Everyday when you wake up post roll, that post is a promise to the thousands of quitters who use this site that you will not quit this day. Don't worry about the next day, just today. that way you know all you need to do is get through one day to keep your promise. The next day do the same thing. I know this is just a mind game, but it's amazing what you can do when you compartmentalize your quit into one day segments, and then let the days add up. At first posting roll may not seem like a big deal, but after a little while you are going to get a whole lot of folks who will notice when you don't post roll. This adds a lot of accountability to your quit. Don't slack off on this! Every day post roll. Almost every cave I've seen over the years is from someone who posts roll occasionally or not at all. It is not a huge obligation, it takes me all of 45 seconds every morning. Make it a part of your routine every day. Good luck Jason.
Listen to this badass^^^^^ I'm around dippers everyday. Dipped 38 years but with the help from my brothers and sisters I'm quitting one day at a time! Quit on, probably one of the hardest mental challenges I've ever faced!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Well it was one of those weird things man....Me and few buddies were heading up to an old wrecking yard up north and I had been around them chewing before and it never bothered me at all...my buddy passed a can of cope to my other buddy and the smell of it hit my nose and I said, well let me have just one of those!!! Yep started all over again, that was in 03. Stupid. Anyways I feel great today, made it through the first weekend and now My first day back at work since I quit. I know it's gonna be hard but I am doing it, half my crew in the machine shop chew but the other half have already quit drinking, chewing or smoking or all three!! Anyways Be strong today and beat the shit out the NICOTINE!!!!

Jason,

I am 43, 28 years a slave of the nic bitch. I am in construction so like you everyone either chews or smokes. Freedom is priceless and there is no way I could have done it without this site. Read all you can. Post your promise to quit every day. Jason, we don't hope and pray we just QUIT. One hour, one minute at a time. YOU GOT THIS! Proud to quit with you.

Well tomorrow will be the first day back at work since I decided to quit. Been a mechanic and machinist at a power plant for twenty years and chewing seemed to go along with the type of work we do! Hoping and praying that I can get through this and stay on track to a healthy nicotine free life forever!

Hello and welcome to kill the can!
Great to have another member join the site. First things first, if you have any nicotine product at all (chew, dip, nicotine gum, cigarettes, vapes, etc.) dump it, stomp on it, flush it, and throw it all away, get rid of it once and for all. Everything that has nicotine must go. Say your goodbyes because it's over. You didn't come across this site to turn back and lose the battle. You came here to win. Here at killthecan we stay accountable through our daily roll call promise. You see, every morning before breakfast, before work, whatever the first thing you do when you wake up is, becomes the second thing you do when you wake up because posting roll comes first. Roll is our promise not to use nicotine for that day only. We do things one day at a time here. Your group is October 2015. Here you will post daily roll call and become part of the badass group. You are not alone. Everyone on this site was a stranger struggling with nicotine addiction but now we are a supportive brotherhood. We share stories, we share struggles, we pick each other up when someone is down. It's amazing

Here is the link to your group:
topic/11203031/

Read everything you can on this site, start off with the welcome center:
forum/55560/

Read hall of fame speeches, other introductions, read what's going on in other groups. Read cave stories, cancer stories. Read all you possibly can. It only helps.

Quitting is hard at first, but it only gets better from there. Ask anyone.

Inbox me if you need anything at all. Enjoy your new nicotine free life! Hope you stick around, you're in for a hell of a ride!

Hi all, I am so happy to see a site like this! My name is Jason and I am 42 years old and started chewing in the 8th grade. I had quit already once before only to manage a 7 year run with not one chew....but started again and now it's time to quit for good. My last dip was 6-26-15 and there is no looking back now. Thanks for the great website.

Definately not going to half ass this, I cannot always post in the Am, because of my job and I don't have Internet on my phone, so I will do my best on the roll call!

Fuck! I didn't realize how much I relied on Cope for driving untill toda y. Yesterday was my first day back at work since I quit and I stayed focused and pushed through! I drive 1 hour each way to and from work and It didn't hit me untill today? Also I had to leave work early to get 2 fillings put back in that came out from chewing gum and starburst! Anyways I did not get a chance to post roll but wanted to let everyone know that I made it again! Fuck you Cancerhagen! Have a good night! Joker.
got an hour drive as well and used cope wintergreen can for ride there and back... def was hardest part of quit, replaced with milkshakes, chips, munchie foods, honestly anything i could do for an hour but my favorite was a bag of beef jerky... expensive but think of the money you woulda spent on dip and jerkys not cancer
Quit Date- April 13th 2015/ HOF date July 21 2015

I mean let's not pretend everyone doesn't take their phone with them to shit, that's plenty of time to post roll

The only cans I want now are on my girl '3boobs'
