Glad to see you went through the door! Now its your job to fuck the nicotene whore. I thought tomorrow would never come. Now stick with it and do yourself a huge favor. Avoid Miller Time as much as possible, booze will kill a quit faster than anything. Good luck and hit me up if needed.
Post, Promise and keep it. When you wake up tomorrow know that yesterday was a victory and repeat. I quit with you!
Thats good advice - stay away from alcohol for at least a month or 2. And when you do go back to having it, start out by limiting yourself to 1 drink, and see how you do with your nicotine quit. If you go out and get hammered, you're very likely to bum a chew off your buddies.

Hey sorry guys been at work, I have not dipped today feel like I'm foggy and in focused. How do I sign up for July roll call?
GREAT to hear that, Jake! Best decision of your life! Now post roll, which is your promise to us all that you won't use nicotine today, and then keep your word.
Dont worry about quitting forever - just quit today. then repeat it tomorrow.

Fogginess is totally normal - its just a part of the withdrawals. Hell, I was foggy for a couple weeks actually. You might also get headaches, mood swings, etc - you can read about all of that on this site.

Drink lots of water, that will help. And if you feel like you miss having something in your mouth, use sunflower seeds, hard candy, or fake chew (non nicotine).

You can do this Jake!!

Underlined text is a link:

July 2013-Your group

How to post roll

Make your promise before the day starts. Take it off the table and be done.
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

To overcome your addiction you must comprehend what it means to fail-Razd 3/12

Theres a lot of people that come here, especially vets, that WANT to be reminded that they are addicts.-Tarpon 6/12

Just as a building starts with architectural drawings. Your daily quit begins with a promise.-Scowick 2/13

Here and now, focused on today, minute by minute, whatever it takes, I promise to all my bros and myself not to become a negative stat and stay quit!-krok 1/15

I want everyone to be quit. Even the assholes.-Probe1957 1/18

Ignoring history or erasing history fixes nothing and leads you inevitably down the same path.-69franx 04/30/2021

hey my name is jake, I'm 21 years old and own a small business and found i am tired of dipping and it is messing with my life. i started from peer pressure when i was 16 and have been victim ever sense. i am constantly worried about my health or soreness of my gums. i also cannot hide it from my family any longer. i find myself mostly dipping at work and after meals, i have read the quit letters and have decided this quit is for me and my future. i hope others will help and give me guidance and wish to do the same for anyone seeking any.

thanks jake
Hey Jake, glad to see you want to quit. Believe me its hard but can absolutely be done! The toughest part for you might be that you are so young - I failed several quit attempts when I was in my early 20s because your mind tells you "Ill quit when Im 25, I got plenty of time" then 25 comes, and its "Ill quit when Im 30, I got plenty of time", and before you know it, you're 45 or 50 and have been dipping for 30 years. DONT LET THAT HAPPEN Bro! NOW is the time to quit! And when you hear that voice in your head saying you dont need to quit now, tell it to F**K OFF and get quit, and stay quit! Make this your permanent quit, dont sacrifice your health or your money.

Welcome to the site, if you need a phone number for support please just PM me.
Listen to what these guys have to say. I am 22 myself and reading about/seeing all these guys who have dipped for 30+ years scares the shit out of me. I have always told myself that I will quit once I graduate college, but all it takes is ONE more dip after I graduate and I could follow the same path and end up dipping for another 20-30+ years, like I said scares the SHIT out of me.

So I decided 40 days ago to just dump the can and that no time was better than right NOW. I feel amazing and plan to quit everyday up until graduation (may 10th) and for many days after that.

PM me for my number if you need another young guy who knows what your going through. QLF

JAKE - Did you quit today? lets do this together bro. Spit it out of your mouth, dump all your cans into the toilet, NOT the garbage, and flush it.

Stock up on fake non-nicotine chew, sunflower seeds, hard candy like jolly ranchers, and LETS DO THIS!

We're here to help, bro, but you gotta take the first step.

You're not ready. I've been slave to this shit for over 30 years and I have quit tomorrow about 1000 times. My favorite non-quit was "I'll quit when this can is gone". "I'm gonna quit is BS. Don't talk about it until you do it. I'm new to this site but it aint rocket science. Spit the shit out an d grow a pair!

ok - Its tomorrow - When are you quiting now? You will never know the freedom if you don't crab your balls and make it happen. Life as you know it will suck for a few days (weeks) and then it will be different for a long time after that. One day at a time! This plan works. Don't ask for sympathy becuase its hard, don't ever call yourself a victim because you were a jackass! But most of all do not TRY, QUIT. If you don't understand that you addicted to this shit and the "just one" can not happen, Your Fucked!
Post roll, vent here, read everything. If you quit great, stop in here and chat it up. Let us help you. If your still chewing fucking go away and come back when you quit.

I cant fucking stand it when grown fucking people come in here and say stupid shit like I'm quiting tommorow. Really. KTC is full of men and women that (sorry ladies) have BALLS THAT CLANK! We fight everyday to stay quit. We wake up in the morning and tell each other its not happening today and we go to bed at night knowing we have won for the day!

Don't get why people come here and say "I'm gonna quit tomorrow".

Why the fuck don't they just post "tomorrow" and say..."had my last dip yesterday and am ready to do this shit".

Reminds me of when my tubby ass is up too late watching "Insanity" infomercials, you know the p90x type thing?

I gotta admit.  It gets me pumped up to lose some lbs and get yolked up.    I often think "tomorrow I'm gonna start this shit".

By noon I'm in line at t bell ordering cool ranch tacos.

Dont come in here with a lip full of ass, talking shit about doing something "tomorrow".

Come in here "tomorrow" and come at this the right way.  Ill be here TOMORROW, and I know a lot of these other bad ass cock diesels of quit will be as well.

Will you?  Or will you be back in line finger banging a can, thinking about "tomorrow" again.
^^^what he said! good stuff. May I add something that I just wrote in another intro....remember that tomorrow is always the worst time to quit. When I was your age, tomorrow (or next week, or not-during-finals) stretched for 27 years.

Tomorrow sucks as a quit date. Frankly, I don't think anyone has a chance of staying quit until they decide that they are sick and tired of being a slave to nicotine and are gonna quit right now. RIGHT F*#CKING NOW. If you aint there, you aint ready to quit, today tomorrow or whenever. If you do quit tomorrow (quit, not just take a break), it will be because something is different in your mind tomorrow than today. What will that be, precisely, and why do you think it will happen tomorrow? (pssst...nothing will be different)

Tomorrow. Sorry for the skepticism, but I don't think you can pick a nice convenient quit date. My advice...do more reading on the site. Look more closely at the nic-serving bitch your life has become. PM MThomas about why he hates big tobacco.

Don't get me wrong, I'm with you if you show up. If you give your word not to dip tomorrow, I'll hold you to it. But "tomorrow" is addict-talk for "I'm gonna have more dip now, thank your very much."
*Quit today. Full stop. No qualifiers. Tomorrow?... IDK, IDC.
