God will forgive you for walking into the gas station and buying a can. We, however, will not forgive you. The pre-cancer cells are unforgiving as well. Work this program to the letter and you will succeed. You need us and we need you.

Day 4! How is life treating you? The nicotine should be all out of your system now... The mind games and craves we can help you work through. Use this site and the bad ass advice to help you beat a formidable opponent.

This isn't easy dude, but doesn't it feel good to win? You are really winning, one day at a time, at something that you lost at for years. Freedom gets a lot better one day at a time.

Yea clean of the bad stuff, but my wife smokes so still have to deal with that.No worries....I am done with it.....DWI ....Over done let it go.Staying busy helps me more than anything. That and BIG RED gum...Hate that stuff but it helps.'

Thanks for the support, and yea I'll get that roll thing figured out soon.

Timo is DWI!

Timo,
Welcome buddy, stay strong and stay on this site. I left and failed.
Your friends, family and church may grow tired of your quit but they don't understand that after 30+ years you will always be an addict.
That is why this site works, we all share your addiction and quit each day and we will never grow tired of supporting you.
Charles

Welcome Timo. Look forward to seeing you post roll each and everyday with the November group. I'm only a few days in the quit myself, so if you need anything send me a message. First 4-5 days are really tough. Hang in there.

You had time to reply, so you have time to post roll. We do this first thing every day. It's your promise to yourself and everyone here that you will not use nicotine today. Posting roll is the foundation of this site, and shouldn't be put off.
A few words of advice for you Timo: If you're too busy to post roll, then you're too busy to quit!

I realize you're brand new and this is all surreal to you but we had a thumper in our quit group that HAD 142 days of quit under his belt and he caved yesterday. My point is, getting up in front of your church is noble but that isn't going to help you stay quit like this KTC life will. And that is worth an Amen!
What ^^^^ said X 1000.
Angels of quit are here. These angels have walked your road. They will show you the way...if you'll see. Nowhere will you find such powerful and healing gifts of quit, nowhere except here.
Quit is hard work. Well worth it. Anything worth it does not come easy. It gets easier, but it takes time for our body, mind and soul to adjust to "not" being a slave. Drink the KTC koolaid and enjoy freedom.
If I can do this, then I know that YOU can too.
We post roll around here to promise each other not to use nicotine. Awesome job coming clean to your church, but so far you haven't promised us in the KTC anything yet. We'd love to have you here, but roll call is the #1 rule for admittance.
God helps those who help themselves... Help yourself Tim...
Early in my quit I saw posting roll as a task. That was when my brain was directly wired through a nicotine path. Now I see that is all addict bullshit babble. I post roll as soon as possible each morning. Then my day continues. Seriously it take 4 seconds to post roll, 6 if I use my phone. How "busy" is your life that you can't manage that time?

Every once in a while it helps to stop and smell the flowers. Wake up, post roll and quitting lying to yourself Mr. Busybody.
"If you want to quit then stop talking and just QUIT. If you want to kill yourself a bullet is cheaper and faster than a tin, plus it eliminates my hearing you whine and cry like a bitch."

Best thing I have read on KTC...Submitted by tgafish on 7/3/14

Former Skoal Straight and Cope Longcut user that started at the age of 12. QUIT on 7/15/13

Great decision. You are right, you can do this with God's help. You have some brothers on this site that can offer you some help too. The fellowship of quitters currently going through the same things you are is powerful. I encourage you to plug in to KTC and use it, starting with posting roll (your promise to not use nicotine for that day.) After awhile you will likely find encouragement by helping more recent quitters. Hang in there, those first few day suck bad, but you will make it through.
